It's instructive to compare the text of the
Executive Order with the portion your article chooses to quote. I thought omitting passages without including ellipsis points or some other indication is a no-no.

Since when is the purchase of land on the open market a 'land grab'.

"Probably a contingency landing strip for the Space Shuttle. Looks long enough. We've got them all over the world." Yup. We've got one here in downtown Mobile.

Argentinean Adolfo Perez Esquivel warned that the real war will be fought not for oil, but for water The latest leftist talking point, but one sillier than most. Water is the most easily-recycled substance on earth.

Great list! I, too, am sick of the Bush Bashers here. He's done a lot given the fact he has a retarded Congress!

Gladly. Quoatation from article, omitted text in italics:
Public ownership or exclusive use of the property by the public, such as for a public . . . roadway, park, forest, governmental office building, or military reservation; (b) projects designated for public, common carrier, public transportation, or public utility use, including those for which a fee is assessed, that serve the general public and are subject to regulation by a governmental entity; (c) conveying the property to a non-governmental entity, such as a telecommunications or transportation common carrier, that makes the property available for use by the general public as of right; (d) preventing or mitigating a harmful use of land that constitutes a threat to public health, safety, or the environment . . . .

Okay, I don't see where the missing words change the meaning. It still gives the Feds many exemptions in direct contrast to "Protecting the Property Rights of the American People ".

I think the missing words change the meaning entirely . . . to each his own, I suppose. Moreover, the issue of selectively editing text without adding some sort of a signal is amateurish. It leads to a permissible inference that the writer is [ahem] leading his reader in a not-entirely-proper direction.
