I think it's more prevalent than you would think. I used to live in a town where a guy who ran a used car lot would pose them around the cars. He had a favorite which got mannequin-napped. He offered a reward for "her return". There was a story in the paper about how miserable he was without her. He got her back (college boys I think) but it was just weird. LOL.
