OPEN LETTER FROM MARINE DAD TO KERRY
personal email from friend | November 1, 2006 | Lurker Greg M

Posted on 11/01/2006 7:45:41 PM PST by RobFromGa

Dear Senator Kerry,

Just a note to introduce you to my son, John, the one you said was in Iraq because he couldn’t cut it in college. He is a member of the Second Marines, Second Light Armored Brigade now serving in the Al Anbar province of Iraq. For the past month he has been recovering from injuries he sustained in an IED attack, but hopes to be back on the streets of Iraq by the middle of this month. It is already his second tour in Iraq. He came home on a stretcher from his first tour last year.

He joined the Marines following his sophomore year of college at Appalachian State University where he was a walk-on member of the football team. He played linebacker. The summer he joined the Marines, he was taking two courses to re-gain his eligibility for football. He completed the courses with an A and a B.

During that summer, he was involved in a car accident where his life was spared. He realized that if God could protect him through that terrible incident, he could protect him in Iraq. You see, Senator, he has always wanted to be in the military, but was deep down fearful of going. Education for John, was the alternative. It took the accident to show him where he truly wanted to be.

John is a courageous warrior. He is something you never were or never will be. You went to Vietnam because you had to. You came home as soon as you possibly could with contrived injuries. You disgraced your uniform and your unit by the false accusations you made about your brothers-in-arms before the United State Senate. You have no business lecturing John or any other serving member of the United States military about why they are where they are.

And you owe my son and his brothers in arms a personal and heart-felt apology for your remarks. Those comments were a disgrace to you, to your state of Massachusetts and to the Senate of the United States.

Sincerely,

Greg M.

Salisbury, NC

John Kerry only cares about himself. No one else but himself.

The letter as important as it is, will fall on deaf ears with this man.

Kerry is a disgrace and doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same realm as this Marine.

This letter is from a friend of mine who has a son in Iraq to John Kerry for his disgraceful remarks.

Please pray for John and all of our brave soldiers as they fulfill their missions with honor and courage.

I have met John the Marine, we went to Bush's second inauguaration together, and he is a fine and intelligent young man. This country would be doing very well indeed if every young man was of his caliber...

God Bless this Marine and his family for the sacrifice they are making for all of us.

Please tell your friend thank you for me and my family. His letter to Kerry matches my anger about the comments Kerry made about my son, my two nephews, and my brother-in-law's niece. Three of them are presently in Iraq, with one of my nephews scheduled for a second tour next June. My anger towards Mr. Kerry surpasses any anger I've ever experienced in my 47 years of life.

I'm extremely proud of our troops, and have great admiration for the father of this brave Marine. I will keep his son in my prayers, along with his fellow Marines, and I know that (if the idiot politicians allow them) they will complete their mission and secure Iraq for the Iraqi people. May God Bless this father, his son, and all of our brave troops serving in two countries fighting for our freedoms and liberties.

"You went to Vietnam because you had to"

He certainly went so he could further his political ambitions.

This is great. Prayers for sure...I have 3 family members in the military - my son in law, a Navy pilot, his brother, a seal - on his way to Iraq - demolitions - and my grandson, stationed in Italy - Airborne Task Force, soon to deploy to combat zone.

I would be very glad to see this yellow livered puke, Kerry, finally get his just deserts. You can bet that if the sh*t hits the fan, maybe with the 'Nam vets suit, and he is finally under investigation for his crimes - that his dimRats buddies will trample each other trying to put distance between them and him - 'tis the natures of rats. I have a hunch that sKerry - and many other demRats - have heard from a lot of military families this week

I certainly will pray for John and his fellow service members and for the everlasting soul of John F. Kerry as well even though he is not worthy of being allowed to wipe the Iraqi dust off John's boots!
