This Bears fan was very unhappy to see the Vikings find a stupid taker for this guy and get good draft slots for him.

Well you gotta figure a team which makes the playoffs with a stone rookie at qb has got huge potential. Orton was drafted believing he to be a third stringer last year.

Once Benson gets going I don't see the Bears getting beat. Actually I don't think they can be beat by any team but themselves. And they only figure to get better being a very young team.

They look damned good, particularly on the defensive side of the ball (typical Bears).

Come on, though, would such Midway Monsters really get rings with the likes of Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton?

No. You're going to bludgeon and blitz teams to death and win games with scores like 13-3.

Just don't do it to my SeaBags.

almost $10 million in 2007
and $11.25 million in 2008.

And this is what his education gave him. Gotta' love gubmint skoolin'

"It's done sort of set in, man, and I'm tired of it," Moss said on Fox Sports radio.

"I might want to look forward to moving somewhere else next year to have another
start and really feel good about going out here and playing football."

I used to be in favor of acquiring him, but I've changed my mind. Too much of a headcase.

I thought about his loafing a MN. I would say when he wasa Mn, He was on a decent team. He had yet to be on a good team in my view.

Of course I could be wrong and he would dog it in a situation where there was more pressure to be a real professional. But I wonder if on a franchise with a real leader at QB or recent star WRs around to push him if he might not behave better.

The '98 team was a great team with a 15-1 record. At that time we still had Cris Carter, Robert Smith, and Randall Cunningham to keep him in line. As soon as they were gone, he became the "I'll play when I wanna play," leaving the field before the end of a game Randy Moss. I don't know if there is anyone who could get him to behave at this point.

I'd take him back to the Vikes in a heartbeat. They have no deep threat, but a rookie quarterback that should be replacing Johnson by the end of the day today.

Maybe Moss and Owens will wind up on the same team.

Then watch the cat fights start...

Man I just picked up an Osage Orange for the first time when I was in Missouri last month.

Unless Minnesota wants to cash in their season, Johnson isn't getting replaced. Welcome to the Rick Spielman era. Now you know why we in Miami are glad to be rid of the guy.

Nah, I can see such a deal happening. Teams that need to stretch the field, and can't draft high enough for Calvin Johnson or Ted Ginn Jr. (presuming he declares eligibility) will definitely look at Moss.

I think that makes my point though I did not remember the details of when Mn was both good and had good guy vets like Smith, Carter and Cunningham to as you say keep him in line.

I guess it becomes an empirical matter whether a slightly older Moss could still be led. But I would take a risk on him rather than on Owens who I am confident would be a me guy in any situation even the Patriots.

Randy, shut up. You are 1) not playing very well, 2) haven`t done much in a long time,3) are a lousy teammate, 4) getting older and slower.

I would not be surprised to see Moss go before year end.

The Raiders are losing and there is little point in keeping a guy your quarterback can't get the ball to. The way the Raiders are playing, they need two fullbacks and a TE on offense to protect the quarterback. I don't know who that leaves to move to ball forward, but that is why the coaches get the big bucks.
