Someone has to be there to make sure the door doesn't hit them as they say they're wanting to find the way out.

No, specifically not.
It's to use if a screen name says they're considering leaving FR.
That way the list will know to come forth and lend aid and comfort to avoid the demise of FR itself.
Perhaps it can be thought of as an opus avoidance list.
