Although, if I WERE sleeping with Rush Limbaugh, I wouldn't tell any of you anyway.
If I were ever in the position of having someone like Rush come to me and kiss me, I certainly wouldn't make a big thing of it. I would be proud that he would think enough of me to give me a kiss....and I would love it....enough said.
Actually, season 1 of 24 was to start when 9/11 happened. They questioned whether to even air the show. They did but started it late.
Mary Lynn handled it in Avery classy. If Rush had kissed another Hollywood actress, like Angelina, Jennifer Aniston, Susan Sarandon or Janeane Garofalo, they'd have issued a press conference the next day. Mary Lynn never went out of her way to announce she wasn't dating him. The kiss occured five months ago.
She actually refered to him as her boyfriend when she was performing standup. And when she was on the Spike Feresten Show she said "can you blame him?" for kissing her and "I felt violated but I liked it" (the kiss).
BTW, did anyone notice the part of the article where she called Rush, "brilliant and hilarious"? Mary Lynn: I admire your guts for saying that, because most in Hollywood would be to scared to compliment El Rushbo like that. Good for her.
It's a rather courageous statement if you want to keep working in Hollywood.
Yeah, she's quite gusty. I've actually seen people on the web claim they don't like Mary Lynn or Chloe anymore because of that statement. So much for those open-minded tolerate libs.
I saw one fan imply she was just kissing her boss (Joel Surnow's) butt by complimenting Rush, but it sounds pretty lame. It's not like saying she likes Rush would keep her from being killed off the show! Penny Johnson Jerald (Sherry) was raving about Condi in the season 2 commentary she was whacked off a year later. Plus, Mary Lynn didn't go around calling the likes of Michael Moore or Al Franken brilliant during her Mr. Show, Larry Sanders days.
My wife is pissed, too.
It wasn't just 24 fans spreading the rumors. There were dozens of blogs (including an 8 page thread on Huffington, which is still there) talking about the kiss like it was a huge deal. Some were saying some pretty nasty things about Mary Lynn as a result.
She handled it very well though. Wasn't it Kurt Russell who made the "just to let everyone know, I'm NOT a Republican" statement after appearing in some event? I would think that just about any other female celebrity would issue an "I am not dating Rush Limbaugh" statement.
haha.

Stupid statement as she has to work after 24 is gone. But then libs aren't known for their smarts.

BINGO! Plus, why would Mary Lynn need to suck up to Surnow? The man created the role of Chloe for her when he saw her in Punch-Drunk Love. She didn't even have to audition! Joel Surnow is her biggest fan and the LAST person she needs to be arse kissing!
If anything, her pro-Rush comments are probably going to lessen her chances at an Emmy or Golden Globe nod, make her the brunt of jokes and make dozens of her Hollywood colleagues angry with her.
If I had a choice of sleeping with Rush Limbaugh well I would take Boomop1 over him any day and you are welcome honey hee hee
Where the hell is Jack?
tink, tink
"Where the hell is Jack?"
On a slow boat to China the last time we saw him.
Mary Lynn is getting trashed by dozens of liberals all over the Internet. A few of them now claim they hate Chloe because Mary Lynn complimented Rush. How open minded.
I hope a helicopter lifts him off the boat in the opening scene or it's going to be an awful boring season. It will take that boat 24 hours just to get out to international waters.
Somehow, this image comes to mind:
I'd like the take this opportunity to mention that I'm not sleeping with Nichole Kidman. However, if Ms. Kidman would care to rectify that situation, she is free to send me a PM.
