Video Clip: Actor Danny DeVito Drunk on "The View": His Bush Rant Has to be Censored
Dumbassdaily.com ^ | 11/29/06

Posted on 11/29/2006 12:08:57 PM PST by LibWhacker

According to the website VidClick, actor Danny DeVito made an appearance Wednesday on the ABC gab-gest "The View" to promote his new movie "Deck the Halls." Almost immediately it was obvious he had been drinking and comediane Joy Behar said he had been throwing back the booze the entire night before with none other than George Clooney. At one point he says, "'I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me." How often have that happened to you?

If you watch the clip, DeVito does okay until he launches into a tirade about President Bush and he had to be bleeped several times. Watch the clip for yourself below . . . at least before ABC and a very unhappy Barbara Walters have YouTube pull it. Rosie O'Donnell tries--and fails--to help at the end of the interview by pretending to hold Danny back.

He was on Fox this morning, and he was noticeably off then too - a bit early in the morning for imbibing.

And off of my list, Christmas or otherwise, forever.

At one point he says, "'I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me."

He was so drunk he was boasting about drinking sugary girly drinks on live television.

Not even enough self-respect to be drunk on whisky like a man.

Disgusting and what an ugly reminder of Clinton and the treatment of the White House and the Lincoln bedroom. A bad nightmare.

Aw hell, I though it was funny. I don't care what the little garden gnome's political thoughts are. Drunk people on TV are always funny. I miss real live TV, without the delay...

I wonder how much it cost him to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom? We know he and Rhea didn't get to "utilize" the room for free.

For what possible reason had you planned to see Deck The Halls?

The studio has been very helpful with its trailers in letting people know that they have a profoundly stupid and unwatchable movie on their hands.

I agree. I fondly remember the occasional nights when Johnny Carson would have a guest who had imbibed one too many in the green room.

These Hollywood Idiots don't seem to get it. They continue to bite the hand that feeds them. Don't they realize that the typical liberal is not going to see a movie about Christmas?

We still have sports. That Joe Namath interview (last year?) when he told a female reporter that he wanted to kiss her was hilarious.

I remember once when David Frost was on and Winters (from the couch) kept drunkenly interrupting him. He finally said, "She's everyone's first wife."

Saw the movie while at the family Thanksgiving celebration.

Not worth the time or the money, which saddened me because the previews looks pretty entertaining.

As for Mr. DeVito, too bad the little toad can't hold his sissy drinks.

What a putz.

We will go see the Nativity Story instead.

These fools will never get that we don't want to hear their political rants!

Good. Serves him right. I suddenly can't stand the little rodent.

Nowadays I'm almost excessively leery of saying I like any actor, or any kind of performer whatever; they all seem to turn out ultimately to be big a**holes.

Makes you wonder "Whose paying for these things?" (the movies) What bank is going to loan money again and again and again to a company that makes a product that, 99 time out of 100, drives away its customers and loses a pile of dough?

All I can image is someone(s) with a PILE of money. Someone(s) who has so much money that money -- and the loss of a few 100 million -- means nothing. Someone(s) like....

IMHO it would be mighty interesting to "Follow the money".

"Rhea Perlman is the star of “Cheers” and “Taxi” and the wife of Danny DeVito. She is known for her work as a children’s advocate with L.A.’s Best, CASA, the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Childhood Diabetes Center, the Westside Children’s Center, the Children’s Action Network, the Children’s Defense Fund, and the Pediatric AIDS Foundation. She now has her first book series for children."

I'm wondering what Mrs. DeVito thought of her husband's intoxicated interview on "THE VIEW?" Plus being hammered on tv and trying to pitch going to see a children's Christmas movie doesn't exactly show that he is the brightest bulb on the tree.

He didn't look too drunk to me. I have an audio recording of Jim Morrison onstage with Jimi Hendrix in a nightclub in NYC in 1967. Now THAT'S drunk.(If you've ever heard it you know what I mean.)

Well he probably didn't pay as much as the Chinese guy did. Clinton made a lot of money off that Lincoln bedroom.
