Skip to comments.The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
Posted on 12/01/2006 12:55:15 PM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
**snaiging a room that has a locking door...***
Hey... What's this then?
I'm kind of partial to the original, seeing as how it was filmed at the U of AZ and all.
Hey! I know you!
"Christlike Symbolism in The Lord of the Rings."
Welcome to the Hobbit Hole :~)
If she'll really want to do the chat view... there's a process she'll have to do... we don't actually do the chat here, we do it in our Yahoo private group, in an actual Java chat room kind of format... it allows for fast, minute by minute chatting easier than a thread does...
We could get her all 'in' at the room if she's interested... it's kid safe, we're a pretty clean group, 'cept Corin. ;~)
I was hoping we could discuss what is in lembas.
Is dinner ready? I've got a 6:00 p.m. cast call...
***grabs newspaper and heads back down the hall.....***
Take some 'Nilla Wafers with you.
This is me, about to start washing dishes. See you all tomorrow.
*sigh* Well there goes our wedding thread. I feel kind of bad that I have not been posting as much in the last month or two.
Feel bad about not helping with the dishes, not not-posting ;-p
About a third of the way through the dishes. Taking a break because my fingers are getting waterlogged.
Just for those of you who don't think the Bakshi version of LotR was as bad as all that: http://flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/bakshi/bakshi.htm
...why I don't leave dishes overnight. Also attracts bugs.
