I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. Thank G-d she's okay.

Guy must have wanted a cell phone pretty badly.

Read the hue and cry over Gwenneth Paltrow in the other post (don't know how to transfer link here).

Another idiot celebrity denigrating us. She sort of belongs there with Madonna. Probably will be a colony of ex-pats.

I think it was one of those cases where the perp was so stoned he/she could not make ANY decision- good or otherwise. My son-in law has a guitar collection that is worth thousand$, two bookcases full of DVD's and every gaming system known to man, going back to Atari.

I do thank Divine Providence for the amazingly good outcome. (I didn't have to kill anyone in front of the grandbabies.)

My daughter works weekends and one weekday at a rehab hospital for stroke patients. She or my son-in law are usually home. ( I hope you can view them...here

For those of you keeping track- Raffi Jack is now 13 Lbs, more than 6X his birth weight. Lillie is potty trained and-according to her pediatrician, gifted- but we knew that when we saw those eyelashes...

Amen.

The intruder kinda trashed the apartment...but every item my daughter picked up sorta had a "Huh??" attached to it. What kind of thief leaves the DVD player and groceries??? (Santa???)

A dumb one?

Divine providence.

My faith tells me that this thief, who threw away several hundreds of $ worth of pearls (a wedding gift from my daughter's in-laws)because they were mixed in with a simple crystal rosary) , this thief has some value to God.

I don't mean to sound preachy. I love my children, my mother, my grand children...and if I am at peace with God- I love the thief though he be on my left or my right and I want good to happen--and will therefore endure suffering, should my Lord require it from me to acheive His happy end.

When we began our garage renovation in 2003, we dedicated the building to God and His purposes. That requierd a leap of faith. I knew what I wanted, but not what He required. Since then, we have had two hurricanes, two high risk pregnancies and a suicide. It has been, to say the least, rough. The garage has gone from being a refuge for my daughter, to an apartment for my mother (who has a brain tumor) to a bachelor pad for my son.

In the bizarre and painful circumstances we have endured, it has been repeated to me over and over again, that my Heavenly Father is not interested in my convenience, but in His plan for salvation. (My atheist sister has bought a house for my Mom. Where is His plan in that? (What pain my mother has endured. Is our pain without benefit?)

Some of my sister's thinking has been influenced by my willingness to create a home for my mentally ill sister. Bottom line: It will not be heaven if my son and my Mother and my sister are not there. That is my real prayer...eternity in the presence of G_d with the ones I love.

I truly do not care about the oyster excresions that created a single pearl. I care about my children, my God, and whatever His plan is...that's all.

Lordie, Dutch, what a day.

Do you have any tranquilizers or anything?

At least everyone is safe. That is the bestest that can be had. May God bless all of you, although I think He already has.

His blood no doubt....

(Robt notices that though there are many grandmothers running around loose with grandedbaby's in protective hand, there are remarkably few dire wolves, cave bears, and sabre-toothed tigers.

This would indicate that either the grandedbabies are fiercer than the sabred-toothed tigers, or their grandedmothers are.)
