"Everyone talks like Oregon was Oklahoma's only loss."
Ain't that the truth? Probably going to get another one tonight! But the other thing is, a very basic Oregon team put up 506 yards of offense against Oklahoma that day, despite turning the ball over 4 times. The way the complaining has gone, it was like the refs awarded 20 points to Oregon or something. The onside kick call was brutal, no one can argue that, but Oklahoma was in a battle that day.
A lot happened up there that day, that's for sure. Crazy game. I don't know about you, though, but some of these replays/reviews seem really obvious when watching them, I don't see how some of them get missed. I mean, they get to watch the video over and over again from several angles. How tough is it?
Apparently it was pretty tough for them.
It was fairly obvious to me that Oklahoma recovered the ball when the guy popped out of the pile with it, but that's just me.
That was a pure and total Charlie Foxtrot. There's no real other term to describe it.
If so, how utterly pathetic and cowardice.
There's so much scrutiny of these things nowadays, given what's at stake. You would think they might want to have a pretty clear justification when they make a game-changing decision like that.
With 18 to 22 year olds, not surprising...
Although it's pretty bad that they came out obviously flat in the Rose Bowl of all games.
Not a good sign if you are Lloyd Carr IMO.
With this much money on the line.
Now Oklahoma ended up making a BCS game, but what if they hadn't BECAUSE of that game? That's taking how many millions away from the conference/team?
That's the problem.
I have a question....has anyone heard of a "baiting" penalty negating a personal foul before?
I've heard of taunting, but I've never seen a taunt negate a personal foul, they generally would both get called but they would cancel each other out...
Is that what you were looking for?
Int BSU.
If they score here I might believe they can actually finish it.
Yes, I also never heard of a "baiting" penalty....OH! YES!
INT. again!!!! Run, baby, run! HAPPY DANCE!
then leaving like a whipped dog.
You'd think the excuses would become more imaginative than the usual drivel spewed after their annual ass-whoopin'.
ummm right...
It was michigan in a bowl game. I should've remember that this is LLLLLLLoyd we are talking about here.
He's about as motivating as listening to CSPAN....
yeah this could be over here pretty quickly...
I have seen it called but rarely. BSU players were doing alot of smack talking early before that penalty. Dont blame them though, I am sure they felt totally disrespected and are treating this as there Nationa Championship game.
TD BSU!!!!
28-10, this isnt pretty.
OH YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!! I'm lovin it!
Yeah, deja vu all over again - I've had the sound turned off and have been trying to ignore them, so I could *make* them score - since they always like to do it when I'm not looking.
Unfortunately, I seem to be helping Boise State right now. And now I don't WANNA watch or listen! Grrrrr! Why oh why do they do this?
I'm truly enjoying the fact that the whining Malia's Big 10 wet dream is slowly turning into a pathetic dry hump.
