On another thread the subject of neoptism of hollywoodies came up, and it seemed that it might be interesting to pool knowledge about who in Hollywood broke into the tight movie union because of their connections.
Nicholas Cage is Francis Ford Coppola's nephew. Anyone who saw him in Peggy Sue Got Married KNOWS he only got hired because of his uncle. He got to learn by being an apprentice in the trenches--that's a gift.
Kate Hudson is Goldie Hawn's daughter.
Gwennie Paltrow is the daughter of Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter much. But we are living in a world that focuses on celebrity more than talent and sister/nephew/daughter/et al finds it easier to get in front of a camera or onstage than a more talented nobody.
It certainly helps identify the problem with the music industry today.
Maybe it is because of all the contracts and phoniness of the entertainment world; they'd rather not have outsiders learn of it, get frustrated, and speak candidly of the horrorshow.

Actually parry Duke was sure that Gomez Adams was really Sean's father. It only came out anout a year ago that Patty's 2nd husband, the one she was only married to for 2 weeks, was Sean's father.
