It sounds like a tired joke--but a group of airline employees insist they are in earnest, and they are upset that neither their bosses nor the government will take them seriously.
A flying saucerlike object hovered low over O'Hare International Airport for several minutes before bolting through thick clouds with such intense energy that it left an eerie hole in overcast skies, said some United Airlines employees who observed the phenomenon.

Well, if they're Northwest pilots, it could just be DTs.
Well, the physicists say there is a probability for every event you can imagine. This one is pretty low, though, I'd say.
Interesting that no one could find a camera or a camera-cellphone at an airport.
Hillary sent a death probe to take out HUSSEIN Obama?
"To fly 7 million light years to O'Hare and then have to turn around and go home because your gate was occupied is simply unacceptable," said O'Hare controller and union official Craig Burzych.
BWAHahahahaha. At least they didn't have to take their shoes off to go through security.
I agree that when lots of people see something it should be checked out. On the other hand there may be little to find
"One United employee appeared emotionally shaken by the sighting..."
Were they emotionally shaken before, or just after?
some were stirred not shaken
Someone can sneak a cell phone video of Saddam's execution, but no one at O'Hare has a video? I believe Saddam is dead. I don't believe the UFO story. These witnesses need a beating.
Maybe it was Obama'a ego.
How many people saw a missile strike TWA flight 800, and were ignored? I'd say 100, including pilots.
That is the last time I take a Charter flight to O'Hare . . .
Could it be him?

Sounds more like an experimental military drone than Uncle Wally visiting from Mars.
That was a Heck of a movie wasn't it...
Swamp gas coming off the lake.
Zero is a probability.
Swamp gas coming out of Hillary's butt
Funny... I read the article and not one person "came forward." Anonymously feeding a rumor to a reporter is not "coming forward."

Thousands. But, then, the cell phone wasn't ubiquitous. A digital image among hundreds of witnesses isn't proof, since it can be tampered, but the lack of one cell-phone photo among thousands of tourists and businessmen is pretty much sufficient proof of nothing-to-see-here.
These witnesses need a beating."
Really? At least a dozen, several were pilots, some were mechanics.
"All the witnesses to the O'Hare event, who included at least several pilots, said they are certain based on the disc's appearance and flight characteristics that it was not an airplane, helicopter, weather balloon or any other craft known to man."
It was an Obama-sighting. "Rising star," and all that...
DRUDGE has a VIDEO LINK on his page - but I cannot get it to open.
Witnesses shaken by sighting
"I tend to be scientific by nature, and I don't understand why aliens would hover over a busy airport," said a United mechanic who was in the cockpit of a Boeing 777 that he was taxiing to a maintenance hangar when he observed the metallic-looking object above Gate C17.
"But I know that what I saw and what a lot of other people saw stood out very clearly, and it definitely was not an [Earth] aircraft," the mechanic said.
One United employee appeared emotionally shaken by the sighting and "experienced some religious issues" over it, one co-worker said.
Ya think??? I'd sure be calling Jesus after seeing something like that!!!
Sure they will. We just won't find out about it. It's not wise to admit to the public that we can't control our airspace. I would expect them to find out how to capture one before an enemy does and then use the technology to our advantage. It would be a state secret.
That's my thought. These days, most people carry around some form of digital camera.
The video link seems only to be a link to a local newscast report about the sightings, not a video of the "UFO" itself.
Bet the farm that the employees, who saw the UFO, are all, liberal Democrats!!
To do the jobs that Chicagoans won't?
It is just two reporters talking about it. No video of the actual UFO.
UFO means Unidentified Flying Object.
If no one knows what it is, isn't it "unidentified?"
I hope that's what it was, especially considering that it was seen to disappear so fast it punched a hole in the cloudcover. You bet it would be nice if it's one of ours -- because it's somebody's. The ods that these airline employees are doing this as a media prank are almost less than the liklihood of it actually being "Uncle Wally" from Mars!
Again, I hope you're right.
The FedGov will never follow up on these, with the possible exception of a UFO landing on an aircraft and crushing it.
This Board finds "Pilot Error" to be the cause of this accident, the pilot of the Intergalactic Experimental aircraft exceeded the landing requirements of the spacecraft
and failed to follow proper proceedure at a major transit hub.
You have to hit your F5 key really hard at exactly 1:18 into the video, and then another window pops up with video of the actual UFO. /sarc
Really, too bad Mercury 7 astronaut Gordon Cooper is dead now. I'd have paid big bucks to see you wave your "I Want to Believe" graphic under his nose. Cooper wrote openly about his encounters with UFOs. He wasn't a "believer." He was someone who's been around more and seen more than you.
Hey, Pisano, you need to get out a little more. I personally know very well two red-rock Republicans who've seen what can only be called spacecraft not likely of this earth.
I guess they couldn't find a camera-phoned teen in that several minutes in an airport full of people.
"I'd sure be calling Jesus after seeing something like that!!!"
Really? Out here in the burbs, we call Jesus to mow the lawn.
In a related story, Chicago hospitals have treated a record number of depression and intoxicated related injuries due, some think, to the Bears' humiliating loss at the hands of the rebuilding Packers.
My brother used to know a white guy whose name was Jesus Justice, and who was a bad, bad boy. Ah, the irony!
I know the answer...VENUS!
Where to begin on this one:
An illegal alien ping?
A homosexual agenda, anti-alien-probe ping?
Airport security ping?
