I saw the 2000 "Pet Sounds" Tour with the orchestra, but I know Brian is in better voice now. Do you know if Al sings "I Know There's an Answer" as part of the PS set, or does he just stick to "Help Me Rhonda" and a few backing vocals?

You forgot Bob Seger... I saw him last night. Although he never really went anywhere.

The Police. I meesed out on them before they broke up in 84 as I really became a fan after that point. I must see them this time around though.

I've seen Rush about 6 times so I'll pass on that one.

I am a huge R.E.M. fan but, frankly, they are not good in concert. I've seen them around 4-5 times and they have never been a very good live band. Plus, anything after Green is just R.E.M. light...

I really would like to see The Cure as well. One of my favorite bands of all time.

I think she also wrote "Each Time", another song the Searchers did [LP cut, maybe also a 'B' side]. Great guitar work.

She did the original version. The Searchers cadged it in Hamburg, after hearing Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers doing it in their stage act. The bass player for Cliff was Frank Allen, who replaced Tony Jackson in the Searchers in '64 - just in time for "When You Walk in the Room"

Wouldn't mind seeing Roxy Music.

But I'd really love to the The Jam touring again!

Curious, where did you see that The Cure was touring?

I wish the Rage Against the Machine reunion wasn't a one off show in California. Even still I'm hoping to figure out some way to get out to see it. In addition to them there are a ton of other great, lesser-known bands playing at the Coachella festival.

Also Dream Theater, Metallica, Aerosmith, and Porcupine Tree are touring as well.

OK, then Rush, Dream Theater, and Porcupine Tree (preferably all on the same bill) are mandatory. Too bad Genesis couldn't work it out with Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett - that I would have stood in line for. ;)

You definitely know the Searchers! My favorite English groups from back then were the Yardbirds and Animals

You and me both. I can handle Phil, as long as he doesn't sing any of his solo stuff. I thought he performed the Gabriel-era stuff even better than Peter did, case in point, "Suppers Ready" on Seconds Out. I really wish they could have brought in Hackett, though, Darryl Stuermer is no Hackett.

And still another year without ever getting to see Andy Partridge get over his stage fright and play live with XTC. I would go anywhere to see that show.

I saw Genesis with Phil Collins back in the late 80's. One of the best live performances I've ever seen.

Saw the Animals at Fordham [in the gym]. I remember about a 20 minute break because Chas Chandler broke a string on his bass, didn't have a backup bass, and had to replace it.

Never saw the Yardbirds, but at a Blues Project show in the Village, passed on a new group announced for the following week - Cream.

Saw Animals once but unfortunately it was during the "Sky Pilot" ere

Saw the BP many times at Cafe Au Go Go. No alcohol was served there, at least no to me. Saw Cream once at Fillmore East same for Yardbirds who were down to Jimmy Page and no Jeff Beck. Yep, Jimmy Page used a violin bow on his guitar so they were probably playing an early version of "Dazed and Confused"
