Rocker David Byrne has accused US President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for leading the country the same way the late Saddam Hussein led Iraq.
Byrne is stunned at the Iraq war and is vehemently against it, said contactmusic.com. He said: 'It's like we are in shock. At least I am. The majority of Americans don't want to commit more troops, Congress doesn't want to commit more troops, but George and Dick do and by god they are gonna have it. And I thought, 'Can they just do this?' I thought only people like Saddam Hussein could do those kind of things.'

"Rocker" used loosely.
Wrongly, in fact.

Damn, I always hate it when a good musician says something stupid. He should stick to his music and leave politics to those who know what they're talking about. At least Bono did some research before launching his crusade (not that I agree with him).

It just impresses me to no end that so many people are able to read the minds of every US citizen and know exactly what each one wsnts - they must be mind readers to be able to say so convincingly, that the majority of Americans want this or don't want that -
It must be an amazing talent to have. SO many liberals evidently are blessed with it.
Excuse me, I need to go throw up.

David, David, David - can the Commander-in-Chief order troops movements?
Um, yes, he can - can Congress cut off funding? - sure they can.
A smart guy like you should read the Constitution sometime, I mean, you've got a LOT of time on your hands lately.

Rocker David Byrne accused US President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for leading the country the same way the late Saddam Hussein led Iraq. The President immediately dispatched secret police to arrest Byrne and take him to a secret prison outside Washington. After hours of torture Byrne was fed feet-first into an industrial shredder. The gory residue was then mailed to Byrnes surviving family members.

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
I am sad that so many actors and musicians I have really enjoyed I can no longer enjoy because they have opened their mouths and said really stupid political things.
Hollywood in the old days was smart. The studios kept a tight reign on a stars' image. I just can't listen to or see these singers, etc now without their political persona interferring. gone is Sean Penn, Robin williams, Springsteen, and now Talking Heads. Yeesh.

grab it yourself to PING the rest)
"Rocker David Byrne has accused US President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for leading the country the same way the late Saddam Hussein led Iraq."
Actually Chavez and Castro have much more leadership in common with a Stalinist like Saddam Hussein.
Are the critics of Bush so stupid that they think their lives are in danger? CNN LIED for Saddam and covered up reports of his torture and abuse to maintain their Baghdad bureau. This ass clown reminds me of Hunter S. Thompson (writing for ESPN) when he said that the offense at Abu Ghraib were more shocking than the worst Nazi atrocities.
PS has he made up with his bandmates yet or are they still unable to be all peace and love to one another?
