"What I Did for Love" Oh, that was a big hit for Jack Jones. It was included with (listen to this trivia) the 8-Track Tape that came with the new 1978 Cadillac! LOL!
To see the combned list form all three years that they've been doing this, go to:

BTW, has anyone been watching "You're the One That I Want"?
Besides, some men are actually cultured. My hubands likes hard rock. Spent our youth seeing all the famous "rock" groups from the seventies. He also likes - gasp - classical music, opera, and musical theater. :)
"This Nearly Was Mine" from SOUTH PACIFIC, sung by Ezio Pinza.
There's no contest.
And it takes a real man to admit liking Broadway musicals.
But not the ones with Barbra Streisand.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Obviously there have been some DU sleeper cells at FR!
Bookmark for later answer.
But not the ones with Barbra Streisand."People" was aobut the last good thing Barbie did.
I grew up in New York. I grew up going to the theatre somewhat regularly. To me, a good lunch and a matinee is still a great day. My wife and I do it as often as we can.
BTW, the canneloni at Sardi's (44th between Broadway and 8th) is utterly heavenly. When in New York, you must try it.
And check out TKTS.

I would pick "If I Loved You" and "Some Enchanted Evening" -- two beautiful songs.
"My Man" sung by Streisand was excellent too (Funny Girl), but the couple split so it has a sad tone to it. But still she sings it great.
However, it might not have been in the Broadway version, just the movie version....don't know for sure.
I think it was in the theatrical version. Let me check tomorrow -- I inherited a large collection of Original Cast Albums from my parents.
Thanks.
This thread has me thinking! I'd also add "Something Wonderful" -- think it's from "The King and I." It's a beautiful song too.
...there are several out there which are --top of the list-- great songs!
And two that were quite frequently selected by teh members of Broadway World's panel.
BTW, if you like musical theatre, that is an excellent site.
"If I Loved You" one of my favs.
Surfin' Bird - but not Broadway because they can't appreciate the best songs.
I just went to the web site, interesting. I see many good choices for songs there.
I don't follow Broadway as closely now, but as a child, I'd put on "Shall We Dance" and do the polka all around the livingroom (remember Yul and Debra dancing the polka in the movie?). "Hello Young Lovers" is another all time great.
Also, I too had the Funny Girl Broadway album at that time...would sing along on every song. For some reason, couldn't remember if My Man was on that Broadway version or not. Well, it has been a few years since those childhood days...:)
Ahh. " ... still dreaming of par .. a .. dise ..."
I was just posting a Funny Girl song today on the Omar Sharif thread, lol. They were all saying we *was* "Lawrence of Arabia" and I said no, he *was*
Nicky Arnstein, Nicky Arnstein ... lol
And she was Sadie, Sadie, Married Lady!
