Tom Baker was the best, but I also rather liked John Pertwee's portrayal! Absolute worst, though, was Colin Baker. Bleh!

So that would mean that Cubans set out for Florida in bathtubs and '57 Chevys because Cuba is,after all,a seafaring nation.

LOL! Good one.

Darn. I've been enjoying All Creatures on DVD. Bummer to find out Peter is just another actor who can't fathom reality.

My sentiments exactly. I loved him as Tristan Farnon.

I wonder how Mr. Tolerant will feel about immigrants once the Muslims finish taking over Great Britain and impose sharia law.

Colin Baker (who was at last weekend's LA Dr Who con) would have been better if the gay producer during his time hadn't directed the show in a ridiculous, campy over-the-top way. Just IMHO.

I was appalled by this, and would remember Davison as the very nice guy at Dr Who cons back in the 1980's. I was at a Dr Who con last weekend. The British group that did a Dr Who play put in a few anti-Bush cracks (such as saying something like Bush couldn't be an "evil genius" - implying he was just evil). It ruined the play for me.

I knew Jon Pertwee for years and he never got into political discussion with me. Only time he got even close to that was when that Iranian jetliner was supposedly shot down; we were at a Dr Who convention. When I walked into the hotel room, he glared at me and said angrily "Look what you've done!" As if all Americans were responsible! End of discussion. It was so unusual that I remember it like it was yesterday.

You might be right. We stopped watching during that time - and our family had almost NEVER missed an episode before that.

I have a sneaking suspicion that in 50 years time we'll discover that Castro isn't half as bad as we think he is.

Well next time, keep your sneaking suspicions to yourself, oh, and ask an actual authority on the subject mmmmm, k?

With the season premiere of Doctor Who coming this Saturday in England, a British rag has reported that David Tennant signed up to do the whole 4th season of Who.
