Thanks, I haven't been following the case too closly, but I recall some debate surrounding the legallity of their marriage.

Stern and Anna Nicole participated in a "committment ceremony", one of those phony marriage ceremony. It was NEVER represented as being a marriage.
Actually, it was a legal maneuver to protect both Anna Nicole and Howard Stern from having to testify AGAINST each other, in the ultimate investigation into the death of Anna Nicole's son Daniel.
Most likely one or both of them were supplying Daniel with the combination of drugs which killed this young man.
they went to the Bahamas when she broke up with Birkhead just so it would be this difficult for him to prove he is the father. Buried her son there to further complicate matters. If DNA proves the baby is Birkhead's (and I think it will) most likely Birkhead will get custody.
I think that is why Stern will nto allow the baby to set foot in the US. He will keep her captive out of US jurisdiction.
