Not even close.
This is the new version of the soap opera. As with the old dinosaur network news being replaced by the internet and instant media, the internet is now creating new human interest and (sorry freepers) gossip forms.
Now we have real life soap operas, in real time, and we can discuss it with real and many people.
And notice how TV and internet are so entwined on so many stories.
Bill Gates was right when he remarked that he doesn't understand why most people don't see a huge change coming.
I guess there is some comfort in knowing that at least the media is not bothering the poor souls who lost children in the events of the last 24 hours.
Why shouldn't they chat about a subject they're interested in? We don't have to click it.
:-) But sometimes I do.
But at the rate it's going, it may make the record for time to get there!
It's a sickness...to look around, make sure no one's looking over my shoulder, and take a quick peak at the latests goings on on that thread....
Is there a 12 step program for ANS Discussion Syndrome?
