I didn't know Nancy Sinatra did a version of that. I do remember "These Boots Were Made for Walking". ;o)
Showing my age, I am!

Just read the NYTimes review of 300. *snort* The reviewer sounds like he had a burr under his saddle about patriotic fervor. He kept making snide remarks about the way the film glorified the Spartans' desire to fight for their homes, and was very condescending in recounting one character's comment that "freedom isn't free".

Even the movie reviewers can't get past their liberal biases and just review the films.

Actually I'm not entirely sure who Nancy Sinatra was. Frank's wife? Daughter? No relation? Frank's drag queen name?

The idea of Frank Sinatra in drag is kind of cracking me up.

Google did not cough up and pictures....
"Of course, as a guest on a Bob Hope show, Sinatra also had to perform in comedy sketches: one sketch featured Hope and Sinatra in drag as baseball players for the Lydia Pinkham Tigers, discussing makeup and mascara in a dugout,"

No,it is NOT time to go home yet.

And here I sit in Fangorn actually more caught up than I've been in MONTHS, maybe YEARS even.

I have no ~current~ deadlines. I've completed all of thsoe projects. I have several "get to these when you can" projects, but my desk is mostly clear.

That will all change on Monday, but I can enjoy the next 33 minutes or so...

No, thank you very much! I'm fixing to put on some Vaughn Williams and work on the pile of stuff in the Dining Room.

SirKit is starting on the wall between the kitchen and Den. We're taking out part of it to widen the opening between the two rooms, and when we install the cabinets and wall oven on the rest of that wall, we're going to 'sink' them into the wall cavity slightly to give us a few more inches between that bank of cabinets and the island. It will make the kitchen a few inches wider, and that will help make it look bigger!

Really, you don't know that one? How odd.

It's such a small world after all...

Nah, we're looking forward to moving, especially after these last two COLD weeks!!

Got an e-mail from SirKit's younger sister yesterday. She's now a Certified Business Continuity Planner, and said that she's qualified for two jobs that are on the Gulf Coast! We may all end up there, and that would be COOL!

Cool.

I spent a good deal of time in a boring meeting yesterday thinking about all the stuff I enjoy doing and trying to figure out how to make it pay.

Then I went after work to a meeting for a non-profit I'm "consulting" for. Called a fellow alumni board member on the way home, then spent two hours blogging.

There's got to be a way to make money from this.

Plus, spring is coming and I'm being drawn to the ocean...
