Awwwww! How much is that doggie in the window? I want him!
Yeah, I'm talking to you, Mr. Innocent. Wait til I tell your mom what you've been up to.
We need to find you a nice hobby, Null. Knitting would keep those hands busy.
Mine has a cat too -- but the dogs don´t know. :)
Salt trucks are out.
ROFL! Oh, I hope Nully and Lameshark don't see it. Too overly stimulating for them. :)
I don't know, but if you find one, get two!
I translated this from an e-mail that I received:
"If you are being forced by a thief to withdraw money from an automatic teller, you can enter your PIN number the other way around which will automatically notify to the police.
For example if the PIN number is 1234 enter: 4321. The machine recognizes that it is your PIN number in reverse and corresponds to that of the card that you put in the machine.
The machine will still give you the money, but, unknown to the thief, the police will be warned and will leave to help immediately.
This information was transmitted recently by the TV, but it is rarely used because people do not know that it exists."
Has anyone else heard of this or is it just in Spain?
Too cute Jagster.
Yuk, yuk! Our police dispatcher is still trying to contact and rouse a DPW worker or two to work on the roads. Meanwhile, there's been another multi-car sliding accident at an intersection. Sheesh!
I just found out that should you ever be forced to withdraw monies from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. The machine will still give you the monies you requested, but unkown to the robber, etc, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.
The broadcast stated that this method of calling the police is very seldom used because people don't know it exist, and it might mean the difference between life and death. Hopefully, none of you will have to use this, but I wanted to pass it along just in case you hadn't heard of it. Please pass it along to everyone possible.
Or we could always wrestle for it. Nully would like that.
Never heard of that, Cardy, but it sure makes sense to me.
Personally, I'd rather kick some butt, but that might mess my hair up. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks LJ -- I had never heard of it before and I doubt if I could enter my pin number backwards in any case. Only my fingers know the code and when I had a machine with a different key pad I was really messed up.
Now I only have to struggle with Derly.
You're asking for trouble, Cardy. I'll bounce you around like a rubber ball. :)
It's a date, Cardy. I promise not to hurt you too badly. ;)
