The suspect, who recently left the US National Security Agency to join Clintons Presidential campaign, was arrested on an unrelated charge. An examination of the suspects briefcase revealed transcripts of a conversation between Laszlo Bene, the head of the Hungarian police, and Stefan Feller, head of the police in Brussels. According to Hungarian police, the suspect confessed that he had eavesdropped on the conversation not by using a bug, but by turning on a microphone on the desk of Benes computer.There's a VoIP company named Skype. Per the article, Skype's software appears to have a back door which allows somebody to remotely turn on the microphone on your computer without you knowing about it, if their software is installed.
So Clinton appears to have hired an NSA-trained spook for her campaign, presumably to be able to better get dirt on her enemies
