It gets better. There was a guy on my maintenance team, an Airman First Class, a very large guy, bigger than me and I'm about 6'4". Anyway, the A1C had a habit of telling people who annoyed him that he would kick their...um, butt. He had said this to me a number of times, even though I outranked him, and I had always had a snappy answer like "Don't let your battleship mouth get your rowboat ass in trouble, Airman."
I made the mistake of mentioning this to my wife, thinking she'd find it humorous. Instead, she was furious, and made me promise to say something to him the next time he "threatened" me. the conversation went like this:
I gave him some task or another, and he said that if I kept assigning him said task, he would have to kick my ass.
Me: You know, it's an A2.
Airman Dipstick: What?
Me: My wife's M-16. It's an A2 model with forward assist and three round burst. Heck, they even gave her a bayonet. She asked me to tell you all about it the next time you threatened to lay your hands on me. She's kinda...protective. Any questions?
Airman Dipstick: Um...no.
Me: Good. Now get your ass back to work, this plane needs to be in the air soon.
Never had any more trouble from him...wonder why...:)
Then there's the time I was outshot with the M-16 by a nurse who needed me to help her put her rifle back together after she cleaned it...but that's too traumatic to revisit.

Actually, this might be a good tactical option (pink guns), the 'homies' would be so perplexed, you could get off a couple of good shots before they could overcome their disbelief.
