Alec Baldwin Leaves Talent Agency (Latest Fallout)
Breitbart.com ^ | 4/24/2007 | CAWats

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Alec Baldwin has parted ways with his agents at a major Hollywood talent agency, his spokesman said Monday.

Baldwin left Creative Artists Agency for personal reasons, said spokesman Matthew Hiltzik. He did not elaborate.

The actor has made headlines in recent days after an angry voicemail to his daughter was obtained by the celebrity Web site TMZ.com and broadcast around the world.

Baldwin and actress Kim Basinger have been locked in a custody dispute over their 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, since their 2002 divorce.

In it, Baldwin yelled at his daughter for failing to answer the telephone for a prearranged call and called her a "rude, thoughtless little pig."

Baldwin has since apologized.

Wouldn’t that make her the child of a rude thoughtless big pig?

Wasn’t he a physically abusive husband?

This abusive rant combined with his death threat against Henry Hyde, and his past pattern of assault should make good grounds for a restraining order.

Not to play Devil’s Advocate, but okay. If the Mom, Kim was really concerned about her child, wouldn’t that concern extend to the earning capacity of her child’s father? After all his earning capacity translates into more financial security for the child, no? Perhaps the same rules do not apply as both mother and father seem to have equal earning capacity, but still, a typical mother will still think about the ramifications for the child. IMHO, this consideration for the child is somehow missing on both their parts.

Well...it’s not JUST about the “earning” capacity. Women who marry and make babies with the man, then try to deny the child to know the father, make me ill.....NOT that I’m defending Alec Baldwin...no way, however, Kim has 10 counts of obstruction or something for not letting him see his daughter. There’s 2 sides to every divorce.....

Anybody who thinks this is a one way street, and Kim Basinger or her daughter is an innocent little angel, doesn’t understand the nature of sin that abides in both sexes. I had five sisters, with me in the middle, and I know how well they can push your buttons, and how devious kids can be, when they don’t get their way.

When we initially separated ten years ago, my now ex-wife—suddenly, without notice, without warning, without a word to anyone, and most importantly, without any real reason—moved out-of-state, taking our children—then 3 and 5, tearing them from my life and leaving me desolate and emotionally wrecked. She did it so hurriedly so that I couldn’t mount a legal defense against such a move before the divorce was finalized. Although no saint, I could never imagine doing such a thing to her. I could never get my head around the sheer depths of that indifference. We were married six years. We shared memories and made babies together. Things between us have calmed down considerably as the children have grown, one now in middle school, the other a high school freshman, but even in retrospect, years later, her behavior is still difficult to fathom.

I only bring this up because I understand Baldwin’s seemingly unhinged, over-reactive behavior. Understanding doesn’t imply approval, either, but when the human beings you love most in the world are suddenly—and unfairly—taken from you, it tends to make even the most stable sort a little bonkers. Me? I got a lot bonkers. And so, evidently, has Baldwin.

I’ll slam the guy all day on his moonbat politics, but think I’ll give Baldwin a pass on this one.

“I only bring this up because I understand Baldwin’s seemingly unhinged, over-reactive behavior.”

but this tirade was directed to his 12 year old daughter, not an estranged ex-wife. Can you think of a reason that you would leave a voicemail to your 12 year old daughter a “pig”? and you STILL give him a pass? Hmmm........

the last time I remember him doing something was “The Aviator” as Raoul of Pan America.

And there was cameo in Team America....wait....that was a puppet.

Then there was.....no....that was the other fat Baldwin.

You know....I bet CAA got tired of him hanging around in the lobby scrounging for jobs and eating all the breath mints. Of course, he could always do a remake on the death of Belushi.

You know what you can do with that ‘hmmmm’ remark, sport.

As I said, I understand Baldwin’s whacked-out behavior; I don’t condone it. And no, I don’t call my children names. I only do name-calling to adults, to their face, up close and personal. I think it’s cowardly to make personal remarks or insinuations about someone while hiding behind a pseudonym. Very cowardly. Yellow, even.

I enjoyed Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger in “The Getaway” (1994). I guess that was a very long time ago, when the two had “chemistry”, but it was a tidy piece of acting and a fairly good movie, ay.

Been a long time since, tho’ — no mistake.

Sounds like he’s a swell father and a wonderful ex. Not Funny! Not even a Little Bit Funny. He should be innoculated for rabies maybe, ay. Foaming at the mouth and fulminating at his little girl over the phone like that. She must be *really* impressed with her Dad.

Hopefully she went out and bought a Taser, just in case Alec dropped by to “straighten her out” as he’d promised. ZZZZAP! Straighten him out, horizontal on the floor, swearing and twitching and wondering why he had been such an idiot...

ZZZZAP! One more time, to make sure the lesson sunk in. And ZZZZAP again, just for fun.

How does any Hollywood kid manage to grow up without becoming non-dysfunctional? Who knows... Poor kid.

WHile neither are saints I’m siding with Kim. Sorry about your kids.

A small chronicle:
Some of the stuff from “the net”...

Baldwin was ordered to pay $4,500 to a celebrity photographer after he allegedly punched the man in eye for stalking the couple after Ireland was born and left the hospital.

From 2005...

In a statement released late yesterday, Basinger storms, “Everyone knows about Alec Baldwin’s behavioral problems - his anger, his rages - they are, unfortunately, legendary. If his relationship with his daughter is fractured, there is only one person to blame and it is himself.” The warring ex-couple are due back in court in Los Angeles next month to fight the custody battle

He tells The New York Post, “It’s like being diagnosed with cancer. Something I realize I have to live with. But I’m keeping things in perspective. Not letting it consume me and eat me up with anger as it used to. I stopped that when one late night I was on the street so unhappy and filled with rage that, in a fit, I smashed my phone against a lamppost. A black lady walking by said to me, Alec Baldwin,’ you got to get hold of yourself.’ So I have.”

From2004...

Hollywood beauty Kim Basinger yearned to kill ex-husband Alec Baldwin during their vicious custody battle for daughter Ireland. The 50-year-old actress confesses she found it “nearly impossible” to forgive Baldwin and fantasized about his death during their violent battle for the eight-year- old when she was branded a “black widow spider” and “nutcase” for accusing the Beetlejuice star of drunken wife battery.

From2003...

Basinger claims her husband was “emotionally and physically abusive”. But after supermarket tabloid National Enquirer ran a story claiming Baldwin beat his wife in April 2002, the actor’s brother Billy Baldwin spoke out, branding Kim a “nutcase”. He told the Enquirer, “Is my brother a saint? No. Is he volatile? Yes. But he is not a wife-beater. I think what may have happened is that Kim may have taken a run at Alec during a fight, and he may have put his arm up to protect himself or push her off. But that’s not beating your wife.” In a statement to Page Six, Basinger’s publicist says, “An independent evaluator in the child custody case of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin’s daughter, Ireland, has recommended primary physical custody to Ms. Basinger and visitation rights to Mr. Baldwin. The report exonerates Ms. Basinger of all false allegations made by Mr. Baldwin and acknowledges that Ms. Basinger lived in an emotionally and physically abusive marriage for 10 years. Ms. Basinger has accepted this report.

From2002...

Pals of Kim Basinger are blaming the actress’s chronic back problems on her ex-husband Alec Baldwin’s alleged violence. The L.A. Confidential star, who was married to Baldwin for nine years, underwent surgery in August to remove slipped discs and fuse together damaged vertebrae in her lower back. And according to American tabloid the Star, friends of the 48-year-old beauty claim Baldwin was shockingly violent to her during their union, leading to the injuries. Baldwin has always denied he was ever violent towards Basinger. A source says, “She claims he hit her more than once. And there were many instances when Alec was verbally abusive to her, even in public. She has extremely harsh feelings toward Alec. All the stress of being with him aggravated her back problems and led to the operation. The battles were no secret. Look how often Alec was caught on camera fighting with his wife in public.

It’s my opinion that Baldwin was a wife beater...None of the women since his divorce find him “as something they want to keep”

Since his break up with Basinger, he has dated Kristin Davis, Ally Sheedy, and attorney Nicole Seidel.

Can’t deal with real men either...

From Wiki...

He was criticized by Jack Valenti, Rush Limbaugh, and Brit Hume for his appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien on December 11, 1998, eight days before President Bill Clinton was to be impeached. In an outburst that Baldwin later referred to as a “parody,” a claim supported by the supplemental oxygen prop that Conan administers at the end of the clip, Baldwin said that “if we were in another country... we would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families”.[2] Baldwin later apologized to Hyde for his remarks and NBC has promised never to re-air the show.[3] (A video of the outburst can be seen here [1])

On March 26, 2006, Baldwin guest-hosted Brian Whitman’s talk show on WABC radio in New York. During the show, conservative talk show hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin called the show and were heard on air. Both Hannity and Levin confronted Baldwin about his previous comments about Vice-President Cheney and Rep. Hyde. During the conversation, Hannity accused Baldwin of not appearing on his show as agreed, and Baldwin replied that he would never do Hannity’s show. After Hannity accused him of attacking the president in a time of war, Baldwin attempted to move on to the next caller. Hannity interrupted, saying “you don’t tell the truth.” Baldwin responded by calling Hannity “a no-talent whore.” The conversation turned into a series of verbal taunts among Hannity, Levin and Baldwin. According to the actor, Whitman made no attempt to assist Baldwin or curtail the call, so Baldwin walked out of the studio. On March 28, according to Baldwin, WABC President and General Manager Tim McCarthy telephoned him to “apologize for Sean’s attacks.”[9] [10]
