LOS ANGELES -- Divorced dad Alec Baldwin, caught yelling at his daughter on a voicemail message, said Wednesday he asked NBC to let him out of his "30 Rock" contract so he can devote his time to the issue of "parental alienation."

"If I never acted again I couldn't care less," Baldwin said in a pre-taped appearance for ABC's "The View," scheduled to air Friday.

I wonder if this isn’t just a stunt by Baldwin to prove how beloved and needed he is?

"If I never acted again I couldn't care less,"

So, when did he start acting?

Sounds like he’s in the midst of a “Dave Chapelle-type” meltdown.

What a goofy PR move this is.

It's a freaking TV show, not the Army. If you want to quit, just don't show up anymore.

What a ding dong. He is out of control. Still blames the X. Sounds like he needs prozak, lithium, valium or some such mind altering drug.

Another possibilty is big movie star found the pace of doing a weekly show too hard, and he was the one who leaked the voicemail, in the hope NBC would be amenable to dropping his contract.
