AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2250) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 21, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 05/21/2007 4:13:40 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Jimmah opened his mouth over the weekend, saying the current President's foreign policy has been the worst for America, ever.

President Bush's aides shot back, essentially saying "sit down and shut up", though a bit more eloquently than that.

Now it is one thing for Americans to criticise their Government--we all do that, it's our birthright. Criticsim, however, should come along with alternative ideas. That's not so important for folks like you and me, we're hardly going to be heard anyway.

Former Presidents, of which there are only three, carry considerable weight with their words owing that the fraternity is very tiny and includes people who wielded great power. These people should ensure that any of their remarks carry constructive alternatives to solve the issues they see as problems.

But Jimmah's criticism didn't just stick with the President, that was bad enough, the same tactic was applied to our ally, Great Britain, and her Prime Minister. Mr. Carter remarked that Tony Blair's relationship with President Bush was: Abominable. Loyal, blind, apparently subservient.

Thus, former President Carter hit at America's most loyal ally in time of war.

It is quite certain that Al Qa'eda took great comfort in Jimmah's words as it most certainly aided their cause in separating America from her allies.

But isn't Al Qa'eda our enemy?

Yes, I think the group is.

But isn't there a word that describes giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

Yes, the word is TREASON!

Jimmah--you have now managed to exceed Klintoon.

Turn in your Nobel Peace Prize; then turn yourself in.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Okay, folks, we have 2 weeks, maybe a little more, to improve this bill before the next cloture vote to END debate, and proceed to the vote for the bill.

Per Sen. Sessions, this bill hasn’t even been “scored” by the CBO...IOW, not one bit about the cost and budgetary impact. So what’s the rush??

From the Media Blog at National Review Online:
Carter the Critic [Stephen Spruiell]

A great e-mail:

You've probably gotten a lot of e-mail about this but I just can't let it go. I've tried the breathing exercises and everything.

In this article on MSNBC.com, the author states:

Past critic

Carter has been an outspoken critic of Bush, but the White House has largely refrained from attacking him in return. Sunday’s sharp response marks a departure from the deference that sitting presidents traditionally have shown their predecessors. (my emphasis)

I always thought this was supposed to be a two-way street. I don't ever recall Ford, Reagan, GHW Bush, or Carter, or hell even Nixon! ever criticizing Clinton during his presidency. The fact that Bush held off this long is amazing to me.

Ok. I feel a little better now.

Pffft. Carter is so full of himself. Now he's trying to scramble around and say that he was misinterpreted. I'm glad the White House issued its statement:
On Sunday, in a biting rebuke, the White House dismissed Carter as “increasingly irrelevant."

“I think it’s sad that President Carter’s reckless personal criticism is out there,” White House spokesman Tony Fratto responded Sunday from Crawford, Texas, where Bush spent the weekend.

“I think it’s unfortunate,” Fratto said. “And I think he is proving to be increasingly irrelevant with these kinds of comments.”

And here's the comments from today's White House press gaggle in Crawford.
Q President Carter amended his comments over the weekend, this morning, saying essentially he didn't mean to say that the Bush administration's foreign policy was the worst in history, he was talking about it more in comparison with Nixon's foreign policy. Do you have any response to that?

MR. FRATTO: I don't think I have response -- a specific response to that. I think it just highlights the importance of being careful in choosing your words. I'll just leave it at that.

I just wish someone would set ole Jimmah adrift in a row boat with only one oar (which he could use to defend himself against Killer Rabbits)
