Posted on 05/23/2007 4:05:52 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society
As we settle into the nightime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
The DemoncRATS apparently have decided to craft an Iraq war funding bill that doesn't include a pullout timetable.
Otherwise, this is a quick start as I have to go to our other building for a meeting.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Good Morning Chair.
Thought I'd repeat the post from the last thread on ATRW:
Good Morning everyone.
Eldest daughter, Carolyn, is back from France safe and sound!
I went down to Madison to pick her up on Monday afternoon. Her bus was to get into the Union on the U.W. Campus at 7:00 pm. I took a book down the Lake Mendota, a stone's throw from Memorial Union, and read along the lake front. (gorgeous day with balmy temps and blue skies.) At 7:00 I decided to stroll over to the parking lot, as her bus was due in around 7:10. I glanced for the bus, not seeing it I was going to walk around a bit. I looked at this woman across the parking lot and nodded. As I started to walk away I heard, "Dad!!!"
My goodness... I didn't expect to see her, and found out the bus was a few minutes early, and had already left. She was looking very French, with her scarf and sunglasses.
We talked the entire 2 hour trip back home.
Great news about your daughter.
Love the picture... What time is breakfast? ; )
D is feeding the workers from churches from up north who are working in the area, Thur we are going to have a shrimp boil for trem. It is sure nice to see people to take their vacation, etc., to come down and help folks out who can’t afford the repairs. Still good in this old world ya know.
I have committed the cardinal sin, ran out of grits and I mean slap out of them, off to Wall-Mart soon to get resupplied. Got to get some plants too and some stepping stones for the front garden.
Why in the world does Fox have someone on from the ACLU, the ElNutos of the world.
My chicks have started to grow like mad and darn things are roosting on my front porch which means they leave their droppings. They go to the way back of the ‘farm’ shortly, the roosters have accepted them so they won’t kill them. A few of the chicks have taken up with some hens and follows them around like they are their momma.
All have a good and safe day and thank each and every one of you for being who you are, the best of the best.
Welcome Home Carolyn.
I am so glad you posted that about recognizing your daughter.
I thought I was the only one who did something like that. If I am gone from even my kids and they change anything about their features, I do not recognize them. I am so bad. And I have felt that I’m a lousy mother for it. But my kids should know better. They may not cut their hair, change the style, get a tan or lose/gain weight or ANYTHING when I am not around to see it. When will they ever learn!
This poll that Bennett and crew are discussing about ~25% of young American Muslims believe it is sometimes justified to use suicide bombing to 'defend Islam' has me both petrified and furious!
This MUST be presented to the sleeping, September 10, 2001, American people!
Then there's the story about bin Laden directing his top man in Iraq in 2005 to plan attacks against America from Iraq.
Ahappy reunion! Thanks for sharing it, Jay.
Distressing news that the body of one of our soldiers has been found...

WHAT???? A connection between AQ and Iraq?????/sarc
The bite site is black-and-blue. Even the site on the arm which I thought she missed is a bit discoloured. But she didn’t break the skin in either spot.
I can’t say that I blame her. It can be a bit terrifying on a motorcycle even when you know what’s going on.
For the ride home we bummed a ride off a neighbor who had a car.
I know! Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever even imagined that connection.
Sheesh! Get well wishes for you and Moonshine.
Big smile coming from me on the report about your daughter. Good morning everybody.
Well, off to the ‘mart’ for my grits (and other things), the smell of rain is in the air so we want to hurry and get back home.
Happy to hear Carolyn is home safely. PTL!
Great news! !
OH yum, what a feast.
Thanks MollyP interesting links, good reading.
After reading them it seems some actually “get it” :)
Haven’t turned on the TV yet are you saying one of the 3 missing soldiers have been found dead?
Sometimes words are so inadequate.......
LOL! We’re both recovering nicely. I am kicking myself that I forgot my camera. It would have been a great contrast with the Youngest in her gown only two days before and her hands in the dog on Monday. Plus, in our newsletter we could have shown some OJT for her.
Thanks for the three links that all HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK today, Molly! What an all-star line-up!
Speaking of youngest and gown, I neglected to say..lovely!
Great links, as always, Molly...
VDHanson must be one of the most educational editorial writers ever.
Thanks lysie, I love the coffee pot and creamer.
Good Morning All. Beautiful warm in central Texas, today.
My squash are producing. The tomatoes are in full bloom. The one tomato plant, I planted upside down, is curling up the side of the pot.
Thank you Toby, you’re pretty neat yourself. We look forward to seeing you each day.
I meant to say....the one tomato plant that survived being planted upside down is curling up the side of the pot. I planted about 6 or 8, and this is the only one growing today.
OH that is interesting.
Does anyone know if I put hanging flower pots (begonias) on the porch in full sunlight for most of the day, that they will suvive? The tag says sun/shade and I just noticed it after I brought them home! Darn!
Will the porch give them any kind of shade at all?
Must go for a few. BBL.
Jemian, poor Moonshine! I'm sure she will be fine. We went thru the sorrowful looks too when ours were spayed and neutered. With two males and two females from the same family, we couldn't risk the in-breeding. I've never really regretted having them all fixed, it's so much easier to deal with than the alternative. BTW, Congrats to JT and his future bride!
Pots dry out fast whatever is planted.
Okay back to moving dirt around outside.:-)
Martha I went out and got the Reagan diaries yesterday afternoon..the more I read them the more I miss the man. You must get the book.
Slapped cockeyed on a fender...:-)
Yes...that’s endorsement-enough for me Dog. Thanks!
Molly as you read the daily entries you can almost see the man writing them....his quip about getting shot hurting was pure Reagan.
Molly I saw a report that all three missing GI’s are dead ...is that true?
I’ve been meaning to get that book too. Ditto on MP’s thanks for the endorsement. It will be good company on an upcoming road trip.
dittomom, hi there, and safe travels my friend!
I was thinking about you the other day, when I got into a conversation with a woman about how lovely Oxford, OH is this time of year. LOL!
I’m embarrassed to say i don’t get it
Oh! Well, the sticker wasn’t on a bumper, it was on the painted part of the car, and it wasn’t straight, but crooked.
Hi dittomom, golly I haven’t seen you in a long, long time.
What is up with Fox, Geraldo on the tube all the time now, he sure has something on someone there.
Argh...I thought the bumper sticker was “Slapped cockeyed on a fender”
Reagan, for such a stupid man, was an incredibly gifted writer;^))
I'm so tired, my legs feel limp noodles!
Rest those legs, Molly.
