Barbra Streisand canceled her concert in Rome next month a move that followed protests by Italian consumer groups angered by what they said were excessively high ticket prices.
"We met with unexpected production delays," ...tour promoter Michael Cohl .
"We deeply apologize to the fans in Rome," Cohl said...
Organizers were not immediately available Monday morning for further comment.
Last week, consumer groups Codacons and Adusbef protested as "absurd and shameful" ticket prices ranging from just under $200 to more than $1,200, calling on authorities to deny Streisand use of the 24,000-seat stadium.
The stadium "is public property and cannot be used for immoral deals that are shameful to a civilized country,"

the market speaks.
One of my favorite South Park episodes is when Barbara gets the second triangle and turns into the big mechanical dragon monster. And then Kyle’s mother asks her for her autograph.

Some people should not go out in public naked nor with see thru clothing.
One wonders if Barbara looked in the mirror before going out in this outfit.
geeze
She’s a great singer, but prices are too high.
Great singer? I dunno. Always excellent pitch with good timbre. I could never abide that 'machinegun' fast vibrato though. And she never connects on an emotional level.. Give me Rickie Lee Jones any day.
Although I was never a Streisand fan, I'm almost ashamed to say I find myself avoiding movies and artists more and more because of their Moonbat politics. That's gonna limit my options big-time but the losses are theirs, not mine.
Back to J.S. Bach I guess.
Try PDQ Bach :>)
I don’t like the left politics either, of course. But for singing, I’ve always greatly enjoyed Streisand’s voice. Certainly one of the best in her field.
Hadn’t heard of Rickie. Did give a listen to a few of her music clips, and she’s got an interesting voice, distinctive.
There’s many good voices out there in the world. Amazes me how many talented people exist. Even a few local people here could easily qualify for a recording contract if they had the connections.
production delays? Right. More like scam the public.
The tickets sales were slow ?
They cost too much
and don’t even *think* about heading for Venice, Babs...
Venice, Italy sick of the slovenly tourists [$675 fine for slobs]
