You are from North Jersey when you know where “the boneyard” and “the hole in the wall” are.

You are really from North Jersey when you know why Manhattan radio jocks pick on Nutley.

You think “Fah-Q’s” is perfectly speech.

When someone says “What exit?” you say “Fah-Q’s”

5. If you are South of the Raritan River, you’re lost.

1. You grew up in "Nork."

2. "The City" means "New York."

3. You call someone from south of the Raritan a "South Jerseyite", even though we in the Princeton area root for the Mets or Yankees, and can't stand those retard Pineys (who think that "Phully" is a city).

* The mere mentioning of Pennsylvania drivers will rise your blood pressure by 30 points

* You can't grasp the concept that when driving up a hill you must push the gas peddle down a little harder in order to maintain the same speed.

* You believe the speed limits are lowered by 20 Mph when the sun goes down

You cringe at the thought of your daughter dating a guy from Lodi.

You think your son the garbage man is moving up in the world now that he’s dating a girl from Lodi.

You’re from New Jersey if:
instead of saying “Yeah. Right” you say “Yeah...right??”

Instead of calling out to your friend “Bob-by!!”
you call out “Bob-EEEEEEEEE!!”

Or, you desperately want to pound into bloody submission anyone that says: “Oh, Joizee?” When you tell em’ you’re from Jersey.

You call Secaucus: “Sea-Caucus” and not “Sa-kaw-kus.”

As for “Joi-zee” , in the 22 years I’ve lived here, the ONLY person I have EVER heard say “Joi-zee” was Joe Piscopo on SNL in the 80s, and that was as a broad character in skits. He was FROM Jersey, too, so he should have known better. You’re more likely to hear Joizee from oldtimers from Flatbush, Brooklyn, or the Bronx, but even then it’s rare.
