A Glenbard East High School driver's education teacher has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student, police said Thursday.
George A. Langlotz, 58, of the 2300 block of Hartford Court in Naperville surrendered to police Wednesday on a charge of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and was released from custody after posting $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Will County Court July 11.

The offender, being male, is automatically guilty. No appeal can be allowed.
That's a FR law.
The theres the FR “picture rule”set in motion when the molester is a woman and the victim an underage boy.

Interesting. Glenbard East is in the heart of Dupage County, just up the road from me. The accused's address is about 1000 feet south of the Dupage/Will County border. So does this indicate that the alleged encounters occurred at his home? I would think so, since I don't think ones place of residence determines jurisdiction.
These “teachers” need to learn that in addition to “Leave No Child Behind”... they’ve got to LEAVE THE CHILD’S BEHIND ALONE.....

This song was popular when I was 15, in tenth grade. The 17 year old senior girls might as well have been 25. While the Beatles and all their songs were very exciting and enjoyable, ( there is nothing comparable to the phenomenon today, ) this one did kind of leave me out in the cold.
Nevertheless, this song would not have maintained its wide appeal if it were not universally acknowledged that 17 year old girls are often highly attractive, No reasonable person thinks that this song is about pedophilia.
The girl refuses to co-operate with police. Obviously she doesn’t feel victimized.
Someone “observed them together” and that “things weren’t quite right” and reported it to the school. 10 to 1 it’s the same person who complained when Bono said “f!cking brilliant” on TV.
Aren’t there states that set the age of consent at 16? Which ones are they?

Germany and several states in the US it’s 16.
Texas it’s 17.
Suprisingly it’s Mexico, AZ, Florida and Idaho that draw the line at 18.

It has nothing to do with her "feelings". It's about the rule of law. If that state says the age of consent for sex is 18 and she wasn't 18, then he broke the law having sex with her. And since it appears that she was his student, he had no excuse not to know her age.
Absolutely. I’m 100% with you on the Rule of Law. That’s why you and I both thought it was so important that Libby to hard jail time with no pardon from Bush.
My question here, however, was whether the age of consent should be 18 or not.
It's the age of consent for everything else (except alcohol at 21). At least it'd be consistent.
