I’m so sorry for all your grief of late. It does make you vulnerable emotionally but y’know? The time that you spent with Gardenia doesn’t matter a whit. You loved her with your whole heart and soul, not just 2% of you. And it is perfectly understandable that you hurt and you grieve for HER. You’re a dedicated kitty lover and it broke your heart to see her so cheated of a good life that you stood so ready to give her. If you had not had the recent deep hurts from other things in your life, you still would NOT have said on her passing, ‘oh well.’ and have been done with it! And the snags that you’re running into finding another? Just God pointing you in the right direction to the one meant for you! You’ll find her. And then the two of you can begin to heal from life’s hurts together. God Bless!
Obviously I don't know much about you (except through this exchange of comments, and I did look at your website), but I think it's possible that your friends (who do know you well) might be right. That's a lot of things happening in a short space of time, and the heroic attempt to save the kitten's life probably was the last straw.
So yes, I can have any cat or kitten I want. I could have 1000 of them because I own this building and it has 3200 sq. feet. If you want to see inside the building and look at the fabric and the string check out ragrugs.net and click on rug making steps.
I didn't realize how much of a space you have for your workshop. And that is a lot of string. And yes, a kitten might go nuts attempting to play with all of it!
The renters kitty has been promised to an Amish family and it wants to escape all the time and go outside. I live with no yard, only the sidewalk. I could not have that.
I'm glad that kitten is going to find a home.
A few weeks back, I found a six-month-old, medium-haired, female kitten who is a combination of sweet and bratty. I'm trying to find a permanent home for her (I'm allowed to have two cats here, and she harasses the older ones).
If you and I were local to each other, and if you wanted her, I'd deliver her to you. But I'm in California, you're in the Midwest, and there are lots of kittens in between.
Thanks for all your support.
You're more than welcome. I wish you well! And I hope a lucky kitten or cat finds you.
