Charles Barkley has a Don Imus moment
Barkley insults and demean NACCAR woman
Listen to Barkley's comments after the TNN Nascar commercial.
The You-Tube video is dated June 3.
How can Barkley get away with making a comment about women like this and Don Imus gets fired?!?!
Little bit racist, don't you think????
Don't bet your paycheck.
I heard it on the Walters & Johnson radio program this morning.
Could you pls Ping the crew for their reaction.
Barkley? I've seen a lot of comments fom him that convince me that he doesn't like whites much at all. He is a racist.
Well I thought it was a funny joke.
Barkley is/was married to a white woman, has a couple of kids.
I didn’t take it as racist. Maybe a “white trash” stereotype. Sort of like when I drove up to West Virginia last week, and was surprised that people there actually wear shoes.
Was the comment about tube-tops and teeth?
Doesn’t mean much. H.P. Lovecraft used to rant and rave to his wife about how the dirty Jews were ruining America. His wife would say, “Howard, remember — I’m a Jew!”
Yeah, and I thought Don Imus was funny too, but you see where it got him.
Barkley is a clown and was joking, I know that.
But the point is about a double-standard?
"N" word alert!
See I never thought Imus was funny and his joke sucked. I don’t think its so much a double standard (which definitly exists) its that you can get away with alot more if people think its a good joke.
Barkley probably treated her like property. Ever notice the only group in sports whiter than NHL hockey and NASCAR is the NBA wives?
I just found it interesting to compare Barkley's joke to Imus's joke and the different media attention and consequences.
Yes, seems lots of blacks married to whites are particlulary racist. Remember Bryant Gumbel?
Can you say "Trophy"?
Barkley can do a few things other than jabber.
