Read Mark Steyn’s Book, “Ameica Alone.” it has the best analysis I have seen of the population issue. At the moment, Americans are reproducing at exactly the rate necessary to maintain the native population—2.1 births per woman on average.

In many places in Europe, the number has fallen below status quo. However, the Muslim population in Europe is obliging and has birth rates around 3.5 or 3.6. There will come a tipping point when they become the majority. For all the women who live and die by the issue of “choice” they may very well spend the last years of their lives under Sharial law.

Incredible irony.

When a woman is approached with the question of why she is are childless, Cain suggests a few responses.

I'm not sure why this situations requires a special response. The standard sanctions applied in response to rude behavior ought to serve adequately.

'Cuz Lord knows that society could not exist without the extraordinary accomplishments of childless women in their 50's!

They single-handedly support the catfood cartels, the cat-hair remover makers and litter-box corporations....

Colleen’s turning 40 this year and we have one that turns 2 in October and one that turns 4 in March. Too much diapering and stuff.

For the kids too...

I take offence to some of these views. I am 29 years old and want very much to have children, however I want them to be born into this world knowing that BOTH parents love them very much and that BOTH will be there forever. If that doesnt happen then I will not bring an inocent child into the world without that stability. Before you judge these women as a whole just know that not all of us are selfish and really sacraficing in a big way.

You’re evil for not having kids. j/k I only have a problem with those who turn up their noses because I do have children.

All that means that somebody is way beyond replacement reproduction, which is nothing less than nonethical and animal. There is no shortage of people in spite of Bird Flu and truck bombs.

OK.

I am 29 years old and want very much to have children, however I want them to be born into this world knowing that BOTH parents love them very much and that BOTH will be there forever.

Firstly, I am under no illusions that my own parents will be around forever. I do not hold it against them and I still manage to function.

Also, I haven't allowed the fact that I could be hit by a bus on my way to work tomorrow to interfere with having a family of my own.

If that doesnt happen then I will not bring an inocent child into the world without that stability.

If stability means having parents who are immortal, I'm not sure how many stable homes there are.

Before you judge these women as a whole just know that not all of us are selfish and really sacraficing in a big way.

For the record: I haven't called anyone selfish.

And to be perfectly blunt: the intentionally childless people I know are no more slefless than the parents I know. Moreover, precious few Americans live lives of real personal sacrifice.

Hey, someone has to take up the slack. nature abhors a vaccuum.

The world is truly upside down when people think not aborting and or contracepting out your kids is the unethical choice.
