Prayers needed again for my brother-in-law Charlie.
Charlie is facing a new, very serious, challenge. He went to get his eyes examined for glasses a few days ago. He ended up with a cancer specialist. His loss of vision was due to a malignant tumor in his left eye. They did extensive testing of his right eye and found no cancer there. The doctor said this type of cancer usually spreads to the lungs or liver so he's going for more testing next week.
His left eye will be removed the following Monday. At some point they'll install an artificial eye but I don't know how soon. I'll post more when all the tests are completed.
Charlie is something of a grump, a grouch, a little bossy and most times doesn't hesitate to give his opinion on any or everything. He also has a heart of gold and will give you the shirt off his back if he thinks you need it. Charlie and my sister have been married 47 years.
Trussell, would you ping the Prayer Warriors please. Charlie really needs them right now.

Prayers for your brother-in-law.
Prayers are going up for the toughest bird out there to the strongest power above.
I’ll pray, in the Name of Jesus, that your brother-in-law’s health be completely restored.
But of course, his plight brings to mind the story of Bartimaeus, in Mark 10. Keep this in mind and share with your family - the Lord can work miracles on behalf of his people:
Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight
46Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
51”What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
52”Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Praying for Charlie and his family.
I call on You right now in a special way; it is through Your power that I was created. Every breath I take, every morning I wake and every moment of every hour I live under Your power.
Father I ask You to touch me right now in a very special way, for if You created me from nothing, You can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the Healing power of Your Spirit.
Cast out anything that should not be in me. Mend what is broken, root out any unproductive cells, open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection. Let the warmth of Your Healing love pass through my body to make new any unhealthy areas, so that my body can function the way You created it to function.
And Father restore me to full health in mind, body, soul and spirit so that I may serve You the rest of my life. I make this prayer through Jesus Christ Your Son Our Lord.

Sounds like all of my friends. Our family will be praying for Charlie to receive the blessings and peace of Our Lord while facing this latest challenge.

Saying prayers for you BIL Charlie. May he be blessed with a full recovery.
Charlie’s family has been hit hard. Two of his brothers, one at only 39, died of heart attacks. His other two brothers have cancer and heart disease. One of them died of a stroke 3 weeks ago and his only sister is in remission from throat cancer and also has a bad heart. Charlie is the only one with a good heart or he would have never made it through the flesh eating bacteria thing. He turned 71 in June.
And yes he is a tough old bird.
We’re praying very hard the cancer has not spread. The doctors are optimistic but we will wait and see.

It is good that Charlie discovered the tumor, so that it can be treated. God bless him and the family. Keeping them in prayer, and those attending his health needs.
I will be praying for two miracles, one for Charlie and also that little boy who is in danger of losing one or both eyes I read about here today in that bottle of meth-making material that exploded in his face.
