Beware that intercepted by 101515800 charges $4.99 or more should one call that number.
I just called a 1888 number but was intercepted by 101515800. The message advised to call 101515800 for an update on the 8000 number, but did not mention any cost. When I dialed and learned that it was an information directory, I got suspicious, especially after it took a while to transfer me to an operator - racking up the time. After several unanswered rings I hung up and redialed the 1888 number and made contact. How do these companies intercept such calls? These people need to be prosecuted for fraud. (http://www.oanweb.com/) I called Verizon and they told me that they (Verizon) bill so many 3rd parties, they don’t check to see who they are. OAN claims we made a directory assistance call at 6:50 AM (we never call at that time) and the charge was $7.14. When I called the toll free number, the guy said he would cut a check and block our phone number; very nice. Of course, we would never see the check, the lady at Verizon verified this, and took the amount off our bill. you know this really happen and your cute self trying to minimize fraud is not funny!
just wait until you run into this situation someday maybe you can off tip of your right index finger!
