ATLANTA -- A group has scheduled a news conference today to call for support for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m. to ask the public to withhold judgment until all the facts come out in court in connection with the federal dogfighting charges against Vick.
Atlanta NAACP President R.L. White tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution too many people have been "vilifying' Vick before they know for sure what happened.
The 27-year-old Vick has pleaded not guilty to charges of sponsoring a dogfighting operation.
Yesterday about 200 people gathered outside the Georgia Dome to show support for Vick.
***The rally was organized by New Order - a human rights group based in Marietta.**** (My emphasis)
Visions of OJ again.
In a NAACP vs. PETA slap down, I’m on PETA’s side.
Would they want Mike Nifong as prosecutor?
Torturing Dogs for fun and profit is now a HUMAN RIGHT if you’re rich black???
IMO, this is what happens when you remove morality from the social equation...
National Association of Akitas Chihuahuas and Poodles.
What does NAACP have to do with football players and dogfighting? Sheesh.
They would support black people doing anything, as long as the black person in question isn’t a republican.
Death is to good for this POS.
I thought they were African-Americans.

Do the names 'Finnerty and Seligmann' ring a bell Mr. White?
I wonder which method of execution Vick chose for the pup he’s holding in that photo?
Fools rush in ...
As Leno put it, “Michael Vick is so unpopular that even O.J. got up and left the restaurant”.

200 out of 330,000,000.
Rot in hell Vick.
I never took it that serious - no matter what, the guy is a jerk.
Agree he is a jerk.
What is the NAACP say now?
