ABC has scheduled Masters of Science Fiction for Saturdays at 10:00 ET beginning August 4. Six episodes were produced but apparently ABC is showing only four of them. Hopefully, the other episodes will be online. The series host is Professor Stephen Hawking. It looks like the show has good production values.

This is an anthology series based on well known SF short stories.
To: EveningStar
Talented (and uniquely pretty) Judy Davis is in it, eh?

I hope there isn't any time travel or especially multiple universes in it. Getting very tired of those silly bits.
And as for any aliens, I hate grays!

This is an anthology. These are standalone episodes. She’s in at least one of them.
To: unspun
Don’t hate the grays, worship them.

Looks promising.
At least I don’t see any car crashes that the hero walks away from unscathed.

I’ve heard it will be a lot like the original Twilight Zone (good cinematography, few special effects, excellent stories). They don’t make them like that anymore.

Ellison and Heinlein, in the first few episodes... Could be a real winner, quality wise, which means that the network will cancel it pretty quickly.
Anybody remember Firefly?

The ABC network is showing only 4 of the 6 episodes, so they’ve effectively canceled it already. It will most likely end up on Sci-Fi, Showtime, etc, where we can see all the episodes, and possibly some new ones.
To: EveningStar; All
To be honest I prefer that the show is on Sci-Fi rather than ABC...

However, with the current leadership at SciFi this show will only be shown for 4 episodes and never seen again..

Tell me about it.. If this is the best they can do, I hope it is only 4 episodes.. Hopefully I hope this is the only stinker ...

I fell in love with Kaylee early in the pilot, with the "OK, now I can't get down!" Well, that and her opening line to Book... "You're gonna come with us... You like ships, and mine's the nicest!"

Okay.
Looked at all of the clips, both #1 and #2 from this season’s episodes.
Meh.
The only one that looks half-way interesting is “The Awakening” and that’s only due to Terry O’Quinn.
Nothing that I haven’t seen done infinitely better and at one tenth the budget on the original 1960s “The Outer Limits”.
Jack.

Sigh, would you believe I haven’t watched the show in months even though I own it on DVD? It’s packed up in the garage while I wait for our house to sell... :( I’m sensing that I may need to start digging through the DVDs!! LOL
