If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Heehee,no doggie kisses:)I am here at the thrift store up to my neck in paperwork and trying to find things after 3 moves in a year.Make that 4 because I had to work out of the house.I did find some old German money someone donated-they are worth a buck each and an old cowboy money pouch. That’s cool.

The money is from 1910 and the pouch is from the late 1800,the tie is missing but it is leather and opens up wide. The lady who gave it to us said it was her Father’s and he bought it from someone else.Guess you put your money or tobbaki in it or maybe gun powder but I think money.Remember the old bar scenes when they would throw the pouch on the bar. That’s what it looks like.I am going to run too(((Hugs)))

Thank You All.

The coins are well before World War I. For the fun of it I looked up Germany 1910 and found nothing. From 1890 to 1914 nothing happened. Didn’t have too much time to devote to it and wonder if it was a time of peace.

Beautiful Barbra Olson six years ago you went to heaven The horror of that day I can not write, but Barbara dear heart, I miss you terribly!
Many candles were lit for you many tears were shed for you today my heart weeps for you today my heart weeps for your family, for all the families whose members never came home.
Brave Lady Barbara, today you wear a crown of freedom and glory you walk on jeweled streets in rich sweet flower gardens You Barbara know no pain.
You fought your good fight calling Ted from the plane you did walk the last mile with bravery and determination just as you walked through life.
Now dear heart your beautiful face will always be beautiful your laughter always like chimes We take peace in knowing you're safe and nothing will harm you again. You're safe in the arms of Jesus.

I tell you Lady I have been crying all day, I watched some videos of those horrible moments as the first plane hit the World Trade Center, then the second plane. If I have ever experienced a surreal moment, that was an entire day of feeling not alive.
I am sure I am not unique in my memories or feelings. We were under attacked by a foreign power-it was nearly unbelievable.
To: Lady Jag
Wonderful tribute, girl.
Thank You.

We lost more people during 9/11 than at Pearl Harbor. For some reason it appears that we are doing a very measured response when compared to WW II. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop from the radical muslims. Too bad that the persons Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are not held responsible for their real lack of backbone.

The memory of that day is so strong..At the beginning..total denial of what my son in law was telling me he heard on his car radio..My daughter and I had been working in the backyard. We turned on the TV and the rest was shock, horror and sadness..and then the overwhelming anger hit hard..Resolve..and impatience followed..
I am so grateful to all who answer the call and put themselves in harms way for our nation..Some gave all.May they rest in God's arms.

As we mourn and remember the events of 9/11/2001, people in the muslim world are rejoicing for what was done to the US. Personally, I feel that we have not given them enough of a payback. I further believe that the war became a PC one when they chastised the soldier for putting the American flag over Saddam’s statue before they toppled it, citing that we were liberators and not conquerers. Alexander the Great, Hannibal and Genghis Khan would have laughed at that statement. We still owe Iran a great big payback for the impotency of Carter.

Photo by J. D. Leipold September 8, 2006 Old Glory is retired from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History by the Army Old Guard Aug. 7, 2006. It will never be flown again. On Sept. 12, 2001, a day after the terrorist attacks, this flag was draped over the side of the Pentagon, where it remained for a month before it went to the museum. Oh no.. post away! I have been looking at them in my files and on the forum all day..and posting some..I remember the many pictures of people jumping..I must have saved them on my now dead computer.I remember the media thought we were too delicate to see them.
It's the videos I am delaying looking at ..and the recordings of those in the buildings and planes calling loved ones.
Stay good and mad..I am. I am also good and mad at the politicians who wave the surrender flag and the citizens who support them.

We as a nation are still reminded by stills and motion pictures of the Japanese treachery at Pearl Harbor. I believe that we as a nation should review the treachery of 9/11/2001 by the muslims on a continual basis and not just September 11. We as a nation did not go gently into the night for retribution against Japan. We should not do so in this case either.

Sadly true....starting with the “senators” and “representatives” of New York. You would think they got it.....but I guess not. Personal power is more important to them than their country and her safety.

9/11 Poems - Please Remember 9/11
RISE AGAIN
By Christian Messer
As September eleventh comes around,
we remember the two beautiful towers that fell to the ground.
It was an act of terrorism this we know, and the tears of America now show.
This country is going to war,
more of our woman and men will be lost for sure.
Now time has passed about a year,
from when we lost those lives so dear.
This time will we just sit and watch this war?
Or will we stand and fight for something more?
Will our country stand and fight for justice?
Yes it will and not for just this.
We will fight for the lives that were lost, and for the peace and security that they cost.
The deep water that seems to surround us now will soon be drained, and America will rise again to reign.
---------------------------------------------
I lit a candle outside...
trying to remember so many names......
remembering how many died......
and so many families left unsaid....
some still wishing for that one day to come...
they will get a call saying they found their loved one...

A NEW DAY IN AMERICA
By Jason Carl Johnson
Today I saw a flame arise from ashes cold and gray Today I heard a nation lift up its voice to pray
Today I saw a country humbled before its God Today I heard a free land its liberty applaud
Today I saw a flag wave from every porch and lawn Today I heard a nation sing the old forgotten songs
Today I saw a brother in every stranger's face Today I heard a single voice from every tongue and race
Today I saw a people stand with arms and hearts entwined Today I heard their voices speak with unity of mind
Today I saw a country so distinct from yesterday O that everyday in America could be just like today!

THE DAY OF TERROR
By Caitlin Clark
It started off cloudless and blue,
the day would hold terror and nobody knew.
People went to school and work,
I hope Osama enjoyed his little quirk.
Students stand on chairs
to see why the teacher stares.
Teachers told their classes
what happened to those great masses.
Students worry,
everyone in great fury.
Everyone wonders,
Are they safe in those Towers?
Now I sit and stare
at the land thats now so bare.
What did we do to deserve this?
Why this?
Why us?
One thing that we all know for sure
is that United We Stand Forever More!
---------------------------------------------
SEPTEMBER ELEVENTH
The day we will never forget
A tragic date that most of us regret.
I feel nothing more than pity and anger for those who have brought Danger to so many lives.
Look at all that's left behind:
Husbands and wives,
Homes with children left with nothing but tears falling from their eyes.
Just remember;
God will save us from our fears,
So go on and wipe those tears.

THE ATTACK
By Janine Susag
Hi, my name is Janine Susag and I'm fourteen years old. Shortly after 9.11.01, I wrote this poem to express my feelings towards what had happened. Now I pass it on to you so that other people can view it and see that I understand.
Always and Forever,
Janine Susag, 14
I watched the unbelievable scene in despair Listened to the screams that filled the eerie morning air It seemed as if it was all a horrific story And all I could do was watch and worry
I shuddered as I watched the planes crash Creating in each building a great huge gash I looked at an old picture of the towers proud and tall Then shuddered again as I watched them fall
This wasn't the end of the horrible scene Not the last thing I will have seen Soon there were people jumping into death's arms And others rushed to medics to escape all harm
I sat down on the ground, eyes glued to the screen Wondering who did this, who could be so mean?
I wished that there was someway I could help But knew that there wasn't, I was too young to help
I never thought the US would be attacked We were invulnerable; could not be harmed Though the number missing is more each time counted America has hope, for we have united
---------------------------------------------
THE TOWERS
A poem from an ex-New Yorker
By: EReyes1938@aol.com
Remember the towers
the saddest day in America
when planes changed course
bringing death from above.
The towers
which once stood
with pride and reliance
crumbled as wounded giants.
Thousands of lives
were lost in minutes
leaving scars w/deep roots.
The resolve of teams
was necessary and immediate
and may people were spared.
We now strike
at those responsible
even though it seems impossible.
Survivors lives
may never be the same
but we know God can heal broken hearts.
NEVER FORGET!
