IN the most decisive move of its kind in the history of the wrestling business, the WWE have suspended many of their biggest name wrestlers for breaking drug rules. The action came after the 10 men allegedly including former world champions Edge, King Booker and Randy Orton as well as Mr Kennedy and ECW champ John Morrison were identified as clients of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando.
That company was busted by cops in February for the distribution of steroids and other prescription drugs to clients who had not been examined by a doctor.
It has now been established that their patient list included the 10 grapplers.

The New York Daily News has speculated that the ten are Randy Orton, Charlie Haas, Edge, King Booker, Shane Helms, Santino Marella, John Morrison, William Regal, Ken Kennedy and Chavo Guerrero.

Those guys use steroids???? No way. I thought people were naturally that big.
Well, knock me over with a feather. I sure hope none of those guys was involved in anything like throwing a match...
The rest of the WWE must have had different doctors?
Of course C.M. Punk is clean. Doesn't drink, doesn't smoke. His only addiction is competition.
The wrestling conglomerate based in Stamford announced that it will suspend 10 of its biggest stars for violation of its wellness policy.
In a list obtained exclusively by the Daily News, top wrestlers Randy Orton, Charles Haas, Jr., Adam "Edge" Copeland, Robert "Booker T" Huffman, Shane Helms, Mike Bucci, Anthony Carelli, John "Johnny Nitro" Hennigan, Darren "William Regal" Matthews, Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson, Eddie "Umaga" Fatu, Shoichi Funaki and Chavo Guerrero were all identified as clients of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando, the site raided by Albany County and Florida law enforcement agencies in February for distributing steroids and other prescription drugs to clients who had not been examined by doctors. The investigation is part of a probe into illegal Internet drug distribution by Albany D.A. David Soares.
It is unclear at this time which of these wrestlers will be suspended by the WWE.
The WWE said in a statement that it issued suspension notices based on independent information received from the Albany D.A.

WWE did not release the names of those suspended. A source close to the investigation said that WWE was told that the following wrestlers were among the clients of one of the pharmacies under investigation, Signature of Orlando: Shoichi Funaki, Dave Bautista, Adam "Edge" Copeland, Chris "Masters" Mordetsky, John "Johnny Nitro" Hennigan, and Shane Helms. Chris Benoit, the wrestler who killed his wife and son before hanging himself in June, was also a Signature client, as were two other wrestlers who recently died, Eddie Guerrero and Brian "Crush" Adams.
The Albany district attorney's office is examining online prescription mills where doctors get paid as little as $25 to issue online prescriptions, which in turn are filled by friendly pharmacies. In addition to Signature, its investigators raided pharmacies in Mobile, Ala. and Bay Ridge, N.Y.
Among those who have pleaded guilty are a Florida doctor named Claire Godfrey, who has admitted to prescribing performance-enhancing drugs at least two WWE wrestlers. In exchange for a plea that will keep her out of prison, she is cooperating with prosecutors.

Good grief! Who are they gonna put on the show? At this rate we’ll have to watch Triple H flex for 2 hours.
There’s always Mabel/Viscera/Big Daddy V

Based on independent information received from investigators from the Albany County, NY D.A.s office, WWE has today, under the penalty provisions of its wellness policy, issued suspension notices to 10 of its performers for violations. It has been WWEs practice not to release the names of those who have been suspended, but notice has been sent to all WWE performers that names of anyone who is suspended under the Wellness Policy as of November 1 will be made public.
I know... Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon... TRIPLE THREAT STEEL CAGE DEATH MATCH!!!!!
Oh that would be great! LOL. Maybe Trish could come down & bark ringside.
Sure, why not? Undertaker’s entrances kill 30 minutes of time right there.
Oh my, Vince just gutted his troop with this move. Between his injured list and his drug list he’s going to need to bring in replacements.
He just got mysterio and HHH back, now this!
Any clues on who he’s digging up? (Besides MeanMark)
More diva time?
Tomorrows Smack Down should be berry berry interesting. :-)
He could always kill ECW till the dust settles and fill all the slots.
Guess now there is a job for “Ron Mexico” Vick ?
Chris Benoit is listed as having received nandrolone and anastrozole in February 2006. Anastrozole is a drug that is used by athletes to counter side effects of steroid use, such as water retention and breast enlargement.
* Eddie Guerrero is listed as having received nandrolone, testosterone, and anastrozole two weeks prior to his death on November 13th, 2005.
* Chavo Guerrero is listed as having received somatropin (HGH), nandrolone and anastrozole (among other drugs) from April 2005 and May 2006.
* Shane Helms is listed as having received testosterone, genotropin (HGH) and nandrolone (among other drugs) from November 2003 to February 2007.
* Randy Orton is listed as having received somatropin, nandrolone, stanozolol from September 2004 through February 2007.
* John Hennigan (John Morrison) is listed as having received somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and human chorionic gonadotropin from June 2006 to February 2007. Human chorionic gonadotropin is taken by anabolic steroid users to stimulate the production of testosterone, which is suppressed as a result of steroid use.
* Ken Andersom (Mr. Kennedy) is listed as having received anastrozole, somatropin and testosterone from October 2006 to February 2007. Kennedy made national TV appearances a few weeks ago denying any drug abuse since the start of WWE's Wellness Policy and defending the policy, saying it was strict and legit.
* Shoichi Funaki is listed as receiving somatropin in March 2006.
* Brian Adams (Crush) is listed as having received nandrolone, testosterone and Somatropin or HGH in December of 2006. Adams was found dead of unknown causes on August 13th, 2007.
* Charlie Haas is listed as having received anastrozole, somatropin, stanozolol, nandrolone and chorionic gonadotropin from August 2006 to January 2007.
* Edward Fatu (Umaga) is listed as receiving somatropin from July 2006 to December 2006.
* Darren Matthews (William Regal) is listed as having received stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin, and anastrozole from November 2004 to November 2006.
* Adam Copeland (Edge) is listed as having received somatropin, genotropin (both HGH), and stanozolol from September 2004 to February 2007.
* Sylvain Grenier is listed as having received somatropin, nandrolone, genotropin and stanozolol from February 2005 to July 2006.
Hey, some of those skits make Saturday night live look lame and boring! They are some of the best comedy TV has. But half the innuendo is so subtle that if you don’t know the entire storyline it’s lost.
The most unforgettable skit for me was after Rakishi stink faced both Guerroes with their own butts, the camera caught up with them back in the locker room. Eddie was screaming at Chavo because he didn’t wipe his butt before the match!! Chavo was screaming back, No, I wiped! I wiped!
I fell off my chair! :-)
But if you don’t know the sequence of events, it’s lost.
edit... 411mania.com
Who do ya think is the illegitimate offspring of Mr. McMahon? I’m voting for Triple-H. Vince has been wanting to do an incest storyline for a long time and the story-line marriage and real-life marriage of HHH to Stephanie, with a real-life offspring, fits the bill.
Vince like to complicate everything so it plays out over a season. But like his stupid death trick ran into a brick wall after the death of Benoit, this 10 man suspension might put a crimp on this one too.
Originally I was hoping for Eugene! :-)
Then after the incest angle with Melina the HHH thing also came to mind.
It’s got me guessing.
It’s amazing Triple H never gets mentioned in these suspensions. Wouldn’t have anything to do with him being Vinnies son in law?
Do you remember Eddie Guerrero's last feud with Rey Mysterio (where Eddie was supposedly the father of Rey's son)? During the lead up show to the Pay-per-View Eddie performed the greatest heel promo of all time - occupying eight minutes of airtime - while never saying a word! His manipulation of the audience through expressions, body language and the sole prop of a Mysterio mask was nothing short of artwork that McMahon will never be able to duplicate.
As far as these suspensions just watch as McMahon staggers them out ("Orton, you're out two weeks in October. Funaki, you can't job the first two weeks of November") so as not to turn all of his shows into the worst half of his ECW. He can also claim he's making the workers take time off as part of his Wellness Policy. He's that opportunistic and hypocritical.
Interesting.....since some of these guys are dead now.
Yes! He was a master! RIP Eddie.
But the story line was distasteful and never seemed to meld into the rolling 2 hour show. It just didn't fit, and even worse was where and how the story ended (eddies real death).
The way Vince is currently losing players he needs to shorten up his routines.
Hey,,, just to get this in print:
Vince McMahon and the WWE are invited and do go to Iraq every year for Christmas and always put on an A## kickin’ show for the troops.
The added video footage of their trip picked up after leaving civilian airspace with the always solemn, helmeted, and fearful look on all their faces tells a big big story!
GOD BLESS THEM ALL!!
If you want to give credit, where credit is due, give it to JBL.
It was his idea to go overseas to warzones and support the troops, to McMahons credit, instead of shooting it down, he listened, and did it.
OK.
But he makes a goofy lookin Santa Clause! :-)
For actually fighting?
they should repackage him as Manteet-the bringer of udder destruction

As the Romans would say “Sherlock Non Merda”
And HHH’s entrance doesn’t do the same?
Not bad! You may be onto something.
I’m sure it has its advantages. I know he stopped them at least temporarily when he & Stephanie were trying to have the baby. He hasn’t had that caveman look for while even before the injury. But assuming Vince is telling the truth about not knowing when they will be tested, sooner or later...
I had heard somewhere that it was to be Kennedy, setting up a HHH/Kennedy feud for a few months.
I’m surprised they publicly suspended these guys.
He came back from his quad injury jacked to the gills, too. So much for the Wellness Policy.
I’ve been watching it more sporadically lately. I missed that night. Did he have that creepy forehead thing going on?
I guess it’s not surprising he would come back making a “grand entrance”. The more the guys get caught up in these suspensions while he skates the more suspicious it looks that maybe someone does know who’s being tested & when. They’re going to resent him even more than they already do.
Even though it turned out to not be the case, the Chris Benoit situation got Vince & the business a lot of attention.
It's horrible, but now that he's back, I sort of hope he overdoes it and injures himself again. A Triple H-free show is a good show, all things considered.
Then again, I like it more when Vince remembers he and his family members aren't the stars, and fades to the background. I could live happily if I never saw Vince, Shane or Steph on-air ever again.
WWE Attorney Jerry McDevitt Speaks Out On Suspensions, More
WWE attorney speaks about today's events...
WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt appeared on "On The Record" on FOX News today. Highlights are below.
* McDevitt said that WWE met with investigators today who said that WWE performers were clients of Signature Pharmacy. He said that WWE officials told the investigators that once the information was confirmed, they would act on it, and once it was confirmed, Vince McMahon did act on it by suspending 10 wrestlers.
* McDevitt said that two more suspensions may come down tomorrow once they confirm the information with the talent.
* McDevitt said that wrestlers have been told that they will be publicly identified in the future in hopes of bringing more transparency to the program and serve as a deterent to wrestlers.
* McDevitt said that this is not just a WWE problem. He said that Signature Pharmacy was sending drugs to policemen, firemen, and pro athletes. He said he heard that the NFL will be making an announcement soon. He said that human growth hormone is now the drug of choice and there is no way to test for that.
I think they already tried that a few years ago, right around where I lost interest.
Flame me if you want, but Jean-Guy is always gonna be a midcarder in my book.
Errr, whoops, should be Jean-Paul (Triple HGH)
Could be that Vinnie Mac’s feeling the heat from the feds, and this is a pre-emptive strike. I don’t think he’ll be able to sweep it under the rug this time. As Jim Ross would say: “business is about to pick up!”
Hey I don’t mind breaking kayfabe & calling him Paul. I liked him better with DX. At least up through the New Age Outlaws incarnation. Everything after that was proof you can’t go back. I do respect him for finishing matches with injuries. He doesn’t seem to be a primadonna in that regard. But like the rest of the McMahons, there’s been way too much air/ring time. It isn’t necessary for one wrestler to always either have the belt or be the #1 contender for it. He’s OK but after the demise of WCW & therefore no competition for (then) WWF, it all started going downhill fast, especially when he started dating Stephanie. I miss the old territory days. The belts moved around more & the characters were more clearly defined. Levesque will probably own that company one day if McMahon hasn’t already done irreparable damage to wrestling.
Thanks for the ping
hope you have a good weekend
Well, that would explain Big Vis’ man-boobs. Almost as big as Abdullah the Butcher’s. Dude needs a bro/mansierre. :)
Oh well, I’ve ALWAYS liked Steph! It could be worse, They could bring back Moolah and Mae young.
