Apparently, 20 minutes of action was all the Browns needed to see to make a change at quarterback.
Cleveland has traded former starting quarterback Charlie Frye to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth-round pick, FOXSports.com has learned.
With Frye out of the picture, it should only be a matter of time before first-round pick Brady Quinn gets the nod as the starter.
The Seahawks have been in the market for a backup quarterback, which will free them up to use Seneca Wallace in other positions around the field.
The Browns will bring back Ken Dorsey, who was with the team in training camp, to serve as their third quarterback.

‘Vick by definition wasnt a journeyman QB. He played exclusively for the Falcons’
Vick, by his own statistics over the past six years has demonstrated two things.
1. He’s a journeyman quarteback.
2. The Falcon’s don’t understand the term either.
Ravens talked to Leftwich but then went and gave Boller a contract extension.
I was kind of hoping my Clowns would sign up Leftwich, but they are signing Dorsey.
I love the idea of using Wallace as a weapon for Hasselbeck. He could be used like Randle El with the Steelers.
A “journeyman quarterback” is a QB who goes from team to team to serve as a temporary starter (temporary being anywhere from a few weeks to an entire season) or as a perennial backup. Current journeymen QBs include Gus Frerotte, AJ Feeley, and Joey Harrington.
The fact that journeymen QBs universally suck does not automatically mean the term refers to QBs who suck. It refers to QBs who constantly change teams.
A journeyman quarterback is a QB who goes from team to team to serve as a temporary starter (temporary being anywhere from a few weeks to an entire season) or as a perennial backup.
Thats one definition. The fact the Falcon’s were stupid doesn’t change the observation he’s put up stats that only rate the designation ‘journeyman’.
Thats my point.
Romeo is "fired man walking".
Derek Anderson played well last year as a backup. I would not be too sure Quinn can outplay him at this point, or even by the half-way point of the season. Anderson has a much stronger arm than Quinn.
Anderson was hurt in college by having at least three offensive coordinators while at Oregon State. He will be in the league a long time, at least as a backup QB.
Okay, get ready for a little heresy here: I think that the Ravens better sign Leftwich or some other potentially adequate quarterback pretty darn quikly, or their season is down the drain.
Boller nver has been, is not now, and never will be a first-line NFL quarterback. It’s only Billick’s sheer obstinance that keeps him on the team.
As to McNair, I think the team that dumped him on the Ravens pulled one of the best cons in league history. They saw that his arm and legs were going — and that he never had a strong mind to begin with. If I hear the Ravens front office say one more time that he will be great “as soon as he learns the system,” I think I’m going to puke. Yes, I know we won 14 games last year. It’s called Defense.
That’s it. Fire away.
Go Steelers.
Thats all I will say on this.
Who are worse? Your Clowns or my Griefs?
Whoa. Trial by fire now, or ease Quinn in after their bye week?
go stillers.
But Browns fans have an incredible ability to endure pain and bad teams. We'll see.
You’ll get no disagreement from me. The Ravens could have won the Super Bowl last year if they had better QB play.
Signing Leftwich is a must at this point, Tom “used” Condon regardless.
There’s no question that Vick sucked at QB. He should have played RB, and Schaub should have played QB.
But there’s a better way to say “Vick sucked” than “Vick was a journeyman QB.” All you have to say is, well, “Vick sucked.”
You say tomato...(chuckle)
We agree on the important point, Vick sucks.
“I was kind of hoping my Clowns would sign up Leftwich, but they are signing Dorsey.”
I’m glad they didn’t. BQ is the QB for now and the future.
Yeah, but he never started. I am talking about someone who started the season as a starter. It would be hard to believe someone was given less than a half before they were pulled.
