Kevin,

Don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel.

Btw, your post reminded me of something: did you notice that they didn't bleep out the s-word on Torchwood? They did use the silent audio on the F-word early in the episode. (Someone specifically asked me about it, out of curiosity.)

Well, they did kinda toned it down for BBC America. My wife and I watch Graham Norton and they bleep out the show all of the time..

Yes, it was the season finale of The 4400. It, like the whole season, ROCKED.

A few notes:

There are now a heck of a lot of "extra crispy" 4400s out there. (As opposed to the 4400 original returnees who are "original recipe".)

Getting 4400 abilities can be costly. The price paid by Richard Tyler and The Farrell/Baldwin family is too high.

Jordan Collier's messiah complex just got a huge boost.

Despite Diana Skouris' best efforts, Maia now completely identifies with Collier's movement.

Marco Pacella, is now The 4400 version of Hiro Nakamura in Heroes. I don't think this was a totally accidental choice by the producers.

It's going to be a long wait to next summer, but Heroes does start in a week. :)

I taped it and didn't watch it yet, so what's above is about all I read of your post so far. I would have to agree, with maybe one exception: the diversion with Isabel becoming a child again and then having it reversed the following episode was just a waste of time. About the only good thing was Kyle's attempt to rescue her to cement their relationship.

I'll refrain from any other speculation or comments until after I've seen the episode (likely this afternoon or tomorrow.)

*I’m talking about the 1980 Flash Gordon movie with Sam Jones as Flash...*

Hehehe

I know you did.....just kidding...

SO.......okay, I watched the pilot and the two next episodes (Flash Gordon). It was ALL I could take about THAT.
My God! I thought that the worst acting EVER was on ‘Painkiller Jane’......was I wrong about that or what?!? LOL!
And what about those special effects? They are laughable....

Maybe they can double up on “Ghost Hunters” or the rasslin’ [ s/o ]

No, they have to leave some room for Who Wants to be a Superhero.

Doctor Who now heads into its 3 part season finale. Doctor and Martha are reunited with Captain Jack and journey to the year 5 Trillion. For the first 35 minutes of the episode, Captain Jack and the Doctor catch up with old times with Martha feeling left out as the two men chatter about missing Rose. For much of the episode, it is a boring remake of “School Reunion”. However the last 10 minutes is pure excitement. You may want to record the episode. At the end of the episode, you will say, “Wow! I can’t wait for next week.” I give “Utopia” a grade of A.

Maybe we should storm the headquarters of SciFi channel..

I felt that way since the ECW crap popped up.

Anyone at Scifi who thinks that fits there must be on crack!

Just watched it. Great episode.

I don't usually go for wholesale slaughter to clean the slates at the end of a season (and at the end of a contract), however, it redeemed itself on three bits:

First, okay, they did a good job with it storywise. Second, it wasn't a cheap cliffhanger to see who lives or dies while they negotiate contracts. Third, you got to see some of the abilities that the folks we're familiar with are getting.

Interestingly enough, the two main characters (and as important as everyone else is, they are still the main characters) didn't get infected and won't get abilities. At least, not yet.

One mistake in the episode, no one thought of getting Jordan to help Danny, even before many of them knew that Jordan was missing -- or even if they did know he was missing, it's still something to muse over.

I thought they were done with Isabel last year. They used her effectively this year (except for that one incident I mentioned, but why harp).

The city council thing seemed to fall off the map along with the Concentration Camp thing. (Along in Maia's vision when she was being carried off, her body was a little more mature than it is now, so they have a couple of seasons to work on that. But I hope that they don't drop it entirely.)

The downside to the series is that I don't want a year to lapse in the 4400-verse between this ep and the next, but there's only so much you can do with Maia getting older.

Another thing about this week's 4400 --

Danny's ability: when he killed his mother, I noticed that she had just drunk something. I thought he had turned the water or lemonade or whatever into promisine (you know, until I just tried to sound it out to spell it, I didn't get the "obvious" connection to "Promise City").

Making it airborne was really nasty.
