Whats Your Favorite (Or Least Favorite) New TV Show Of This Season? (Vanity)

Posted on 10/23/2007 4:59:20 PM PDT by proudofthesouth

With all the bad news coming out of California I thought a frivolous topic might be in order.

What is your favorite or least favorite of the new television season?

I have two shows that I look forward to each week:

The Big Bang Theory (Mondays on CBS) and Samantha Who with Christina Applegate (Mondays on ABC)

I have an extremely dry sense of humor and both of these shows just crack me up (especially Big Bang Theory).

I, too, appreciate “Big Bang Theory”. I do make my lady watch it, but it’s too geeky for her. On the other hand, she has me watching “Private Practice” with her. If you ask me, those California doctors have WAY too much time on their hands!

I have watched so little TV in my life that I catch replays of replays.
I am still confused about Gunsmoke, I thought Matt Dillon’s side kick was a person named Chester but they call him Festous.

Love Shark. House, Crime Stories, CSI NY, Pushing up Daisies, Bosten Legal(not their story lines; but they do deliver the laughs); that Ghost thing on Fri. Love Law & Order; but mostly re-runs. Homicide Life on the Streets was my favorite.

Will not watch reality tv. It’s cheap; and scripted just like the news programs. They are making a killing on these types of programs money wise and we are losing a lot of quality.

With all the violence and loose sex on TV I’m stuck watching Disney videos with my 4 year old and my wife. I’ve seen them over and over and over. I do get to watch Dancing with the Stars and the one where they fix up houses for people down on their luck. I think it’s ironic that I can watch “The Unit” and it has less violence than most TV shows.

I like that Samantha Who show as well. It comes on after one of my very favorite DWTS.

Moonlight was also a good show, I watched it for the first time Friday night on the advice of a friend. They got higher numbers than Las Vegas and some other shows that night.

Big Shots is good because I like Michael Vartan who was in Alias.

Why deal with low quality YouTube stuff that comes with copyright violations built in when you can watch high quality full episodes at the source? http://www.cbs.com/
(Click “Full Episodes” at the top).

Be honest with you it looks like most of the Law & Order spin offs are aiming at our troops or the Bush Administration.

Hell even Kid Nations went political last week.

Brady Bunch was it for me, Partridge Family was too leftist.

What they put on the air at 8:00 P.M. these days is pornographic.

Second vote for Forever Knight II Moonlight here-I liked the first few shows well enough, and I hope it improves and lasts.

I agree. The networks still had the integrity to have family programming hours (6 pm to 9 pm central time) when I was a kid.

Of course decency and integrity at networks ended DECADES ago!

The only nutwork TV I watch is an occasional football or golf event. So my choice is none of the above. Amen.

"Chuck" is the only new show I think I've seen. Ain't great, ain't bad either. I'll give it some time.

I just the full upgrade with DISH, so I've been watching a lot of Military Channel, Outdoors Channel and Boomerang.

Plus a western channel. Bat Masterson w/ Gene Barry C. 1960 is a new show to me!
