All my FR pages display fine except for PINGS.
When I click on the link to PINGS, which displays all my comments and all comments made to me, the text no longer wraps. Each paragraph is a long line of text and the browser has a horizontal scroll bar.
Is there a configuration setting in FR where I can fix this?
It doesn't happen on any other website and no other FR page except the MY COMMENTS page.

Yes, I am logged in, otherwise I couldn’t get to My Comments.
This just started happening.
Don’t ask me why he didn’t get the joke, it’s almost as old as FreeRepublic itself.
There’s no setting in your browser or in your profile on FR that dictates that. HTML renders in your browser based on the markup language (the html itself) and your browsers ability to understand the tags around the text. There’s a good chance your browser is simply failing to parse the html tags correctly. A reboot would certainly be in order, as would a test in an alternative browser (FireFox, if you have it).
When any page is downloaded by your browser, there’s always a chance that some of the html, even if perfectly valid, doesn’t render like you think it should. I regularly have plain text (not bold) on the Reply links next to every post. It’s not a big deal.

It may be that someone sent you a huge picture on your pings. Scroll all the way down and take a look. It basically moves your margins to the far right. If that is the case, post like mad and get it to the next page then your pings will go back to normal.

I think that’s it, although it’s not a picture, it’s a link. Someone posted to me a very long link yesterday and that’s when it started happening.
Thanks for the advice. I don’t think I’ll post like mad, though, just at my normal pace and wait for it to go away. :)

Did someone post a huge graphic to you in the past couple of days? The browser window will widen to the size of the graphic. Until that moves off your my comments page you'll have that effect. In the meantime you can click on "brief" at the top right hand side of the page and you'll only see who sent you the ping, not what they said.
