Heather Mills McCartney Slams Media

LONDON (AP) - Heather Mills McCartney broke her silence Wednesday about her divorce from Paul McCartney, saying in TV interviews that she fears for her life because of death threats and blaming tabloids for her problems.

Mills McCartney appeared on an ITV television morning show to complain about media coverage and to announce that she would seek European legislation to compel newspapers to apologize for untruthful stories. She also urged the public to stop buying sensationalist newspapers.

"We've had death threats, I've been close to suicide. I'm so upset about this," Mills McCartney said on the ITV show. "I've had worse press than a pedophile or a murderer and I've done nothing but charity for 20 years."

She also said she had taken precautions because of death threats.

"I have a box of evidence that's going to a certain person, should anything happen to me, so if you top me off it's still going to that person, and the truth will come out," she said.

"There is so much fear from a certain party of the truth coming out that lots of things have been put out and done, so the police came round and said, `You have had serious death threats from an underground movement.'"

She was also asked in a British Broadcasting Corp. interview later Wednesday whether tabloid newspapers were at fault.

"It's the tabloids and a certain party, but it is so extreme and so abusive ... I mean, I've been called monster, whore, gold digger, fantasist, liar."

When asked what she meant by "a certain party," Mills McCartney, who is still negotiating a financial settlement in her divorce case, declined to comment.

"I'm not allowed to talk about Paul and the court case and all that kind of stuff, because we are in court," she said.

Mills McCartney was also asked in the BBC interview if she feared for her life and she replied, "Yes I do, yes I do."

She was then asked, "And you are saying that Paul McCartney does not protect you and your child?"

"I'm afraid not," Mills McCartney said.

The couple have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

Paul McCartney has also complained about media coverage of the divorce, which may produce the biggest financial settlement ever in Britain.

"There's only one real answer to the massive press coverage—don't look," he said in an interview published in May. "So I don't read it."

Now that the media is no longer serving her purposes, she wants a new law to control it.

Yeah. Like the Grand Canyon is a bit of a hole in the ground.

Heather Mills is just pissed off that she’s not getting Sir Paul to fork over as much cash as she envisioned she’d get before she married him. Gold digger doesn’t begin to describe this pirate.

I saw the video of her "sobbing"...As phony as her leg.
She'll enter the annals of history as the queen of all gold diggers.

I read somewhere that Mccartney didn’t have a prenup. If so he was nuts.

He has offered her about $100 million to shut up and go away and she still wants more. That’s for three-four years of marriage? I’m in a wrong business...

Yep. I think Paul is just a kind-hearted guy who fell in love again after losing his life-long love, Linda. Heather Mills played him like a virtuoso...

Must have been thinking with Little Paul instead of his brain.

One is lucky if they fall in love with the right person. A person that doesn’t take advantage of their lover’s clouded mind.

This just happened to my Dear Old Dad. He lost his wife of 22 years (my StepMom) two years ago and went off the deep end, and married the Wrong Woman while he was floundering around in his grief.

He got off lucky because she has her own money, so he’s only blown about $30K on her in this past year, with additional lawyer bills to come. They were married exactly 18 months and she gave him the boot after she got what she wanted out of him; a remodel of her old house, new appliances, furniture, flooring, a cruise and a new computer. Can one be a Gold Digger at age 70? You betcha. Women born with no scruples age with no scruples.

Yeesh! Parents. They never listen to you, do they? LOL!

Bad deal for your Dad, Diana. But at least he got away with his life (she could’ve been a ‘black widow’) and he didn’t lose a large fortune (not to say that $30,000 isn’t a lot of cash). No doubt he’ll be much more careful now.

People should keep in mind that Heather Mills is insane.

Before she met Paul McCartney and pulled off the biggest long con of her career, she pretended to be another Heather Mills, who was at that time a British journalist.

She impersonated this woman who shared her name for years and as late as 2000 was still telling the press and others that she had been a journalist - even after it had been made publicly clear she was lying all along.

She was engaged to a wealthy film producer when she met Paul McCartney (who was at least 10x wealthier) and she broke off the engagement days before the wedding to pursue McCartney. Within months, she and McCartney were engaged.

She has been officially reprimanded by the UK police for 999 abuse (999 is the UK equivalent of 911 and she was dialing it several times a day, tying up police resources with bogus complaints).

She is a complete sociopath.

You know darn well he will. He’s under my thumb now, LOL!

Actually, he’s totally self-sufficient, and just moved to our town to be near my husband and I and a few other relatives. (She kept him away from us quite a lot; that was one clue I had from the start that all was not on the up & up with her.)

He sees what a mistake it was, and he’s counting his blessings while he’s licking his wounds.

Certifiably. And at this point this con beyotch will not be satisfied with cash only, - she fancies herself to be the next Princess Diana.

Seems like she’s after even more money! My gosh, what could she have possibly done for the husband and the marriage that would justify such a money-grab?

Yeah, about 25-35 mil. a year to tour the world in luxury and have every whim catered to - as opposed to sell herself to rich towelheads for a grand per night or pose for obscure porn rags.
