Who’s next? Kip Winger? David Coverdale? I saw a show about Quiet Riot a couple of years ago. They were playing a gig at a nudist resort, in front of a bunch of naked old people. They had just reunited, and were repaying their dues. Sad news.
Here’s a little Slade in his honor, since he covered them so well.

You think that’s callous, here is the Wikipedia entry for DuBrow’s album:
[In for the Kill is a 2004 covers album by Quiet Riot vocalist Kevin DuBrow, who died in November 2007 from complications related to his poor metal health. Despite his death, he is expected to continue to miraculously attain more hair. Unlike the deaths of Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain and John Lennon, his death is not considered a loss to the musical community, since he was the lead singer of Quiet Riot, after all. However, some people are apparently mourning his passing anyway.]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_for_the_Kill_%28Kevin_DuBrow_album%29
The childish entry reads as though it was written by a 12 year old. ‘related to his poor metal health’ Ah, I get it! ‘Metal health’ like the album. Scratch what I said earlier, even a 12 year old would find that corny. And the clowns at Wikipedia don’t even have a ‘report abuse’ button. They’re not much for maintaining the integrity of a website, I suppose.

Prayers for his family.
I loved that Band.
Still listen to the album sometimes.

I always liked Quiet Riot.
I never saw any interview or read any article that would lead anyone to believe that their success was due to anything but dumb luck.
They just had fun, without taking themselves seriously. How many of us can say that we’ve gotten that from our careers?
As far as old rockers still performing: Rock on!!!
Just don’t let me see a KISS Theatre built in Branson.

There’s something about just rockin’ out and not trying to take yourself too seriously like modern rockers.

When they came through here they spent the day interviewing on the radio and during the show they got right into the crowd and party after for those who wanted. Very sociable and enough talent so you didn’t mind they were up on the stage.
