ESPN reporting does not make it fact until at least one of the parties involved make a statement. So I'll ask again, Have either Les Miles or Michigan made a public statement?

Is he any good? What style does he play. Not “three yards and a clud of dust” (sorry, Bo) I hope.

“I smell undefeated next season.”
If Les Miles couldn’t go undefeated with LSU’s talent, how will he do so with Michigan’s? Except of course that whole soft schedule factor.......

Does this mean Sabin is going back to LSU from Alabama? Michigan is trading a diamond for a piece of glass..

I thought they’d get that coach from Appy State.

WRONG-—ESPN news is reporting Les Miles to remain at LSU, on now.

ESPN really goofed this one up. Miles is actually going to have a news conference before his teams game.Said he could not take his team into a game with something like that hanging over his head.

From what I have heard it was all but a done deal, just a formal interview needed by Michigan to make it happen however this morning Bertram threw a an offer at Les that he couldnt refuse so it was changed.

He made a statement that he is staying at LSU. I hope he does not come out tomorrow and say he is going to Michigan. You can tell he is in a bind and really does not want to deal with this whole situation.
To: scott says; GOP_Raider
I was not wrong. My report was accurate. All I stated was “ESPN is reporting that Les Miles will be Michigan’s next football coach.”
This is an accurate statement. If any has any problems with context of the reportage, he should take it up with ESPN. Have a nice day. ;)

I personally feel bad for the LSU players all this distraction caused by the Pelini and Miles rumors has got to have had an effect on them.

ESPN should have checked it “source” better, they screwed up. I still kind of think something is going on. Miles still may pull a Saban and come out tomorrow and say he is going to Michigan.
The reporting says he is staying put but I have sneaky feeling something is going on, but am probably wrong.
To: scott says
This sounds like your typical Fulmerism to take the LSU players off their game. After all, if Alabama could kill Tennessee, then imagine what a far more talented LSU could do.
To: petitfour
ESPN is saying LSU offered more money to keep in place but I like your angle.
Tenn very well could have put fuel on the rumor fire to make a distraction...not out of the question.
To: scott says
or maybe LSU fueled the rumor to fire up the team up.

But the bottom line is that LSU got to the game, and Tennessee beat UGA.
Plus, LSU’s only two losses were both in 3 overtimes.
It was a no-brainer to select LSU.
