I'm really disappointed that Jason Shockey isn't there, not that he would be able to suit had he been selected

Eli Manning is such an inept QB.

Shockey would be playing the same role Whiten does in Dallas's offense if he had a play-caller who knew what he was doing, a la Romo.

It’s totally appropriate that the Bay Area has the two best punters in football - they get lots of practice. ;)

Where’s Kyle Boller? Seriously, sad to see Ray Lewis made it. He and his gangsta thug persona have been thoroughly destructive for the Ravens. May take them years to recover and restore dignity, character, and class to Baltimore football. Very touching to see Sean Taylor’s name on the list. Too bad his colleagues didn’t use his death to stand up against the horrible boys-in-the-hood poisonous posturing now racking the black community.

6 Hawks with 5 starters total and 4 defensive starters. Looks like they did right with the Favre, Romo, Hasselbeck.

LOL.

Speaking of special teams, it would be great to see the NFC win this 35-0.

All of the points scored by Devin Hester on kickoff returns and Folk on PATs.

11 Cowboys. Man, that’s more than we’ve had in Honolulu in a loooooooooooooooooong time. I agree with Favre as the starter. Romo will be a more than able backup. And the rest of Da “Boys will look great at Aloha Stadium. Just as they will in Glendale the previous week.

Ummmm. Have you worked out the logistics? If the other team doesn't score, it only kicks off once.

I don’t want to come across as nit-picking here, because I agree with the vast majority of the selections (Josh Cribbs from CLE was a great one), but two disagreements:

Leonard Davis starting with Shawn Andrews reserve at G in the NFC. Davis has had a whale of a season, but Andrews might be the best G in the NFL this side of Hutch.
Sean Taylor S. C’mon. I know the sentiment, but for Christ Sakes, he’s dead. Are we supposed to appoint Tom Herrion, Darrent Williams and Marquise Hill too?

That being said, I tend to think of the big 4 sports, the NFL does the best job of looking past headlines for really good productive players.

They are always announced before the end of the regular season. In fact, the NFL is the only major sports league that has its all-star game AFTER the season.

I am willing to bet that Sean Taylor was named so that when Roy “Horse Collar” Williams is named as his replacement Roy gets asked how he feels knowing a dead man was a better safety than he is.

Fred Taylor-10K yds for his 10 yr career, over 100yds per last four games.

Jacksonville Jaguars-currently 10-4,probably going to the playoffs.

No Pro Bowl for Fred in ten years, and not one Jaguar on the Pro Bowl team just full of people they've beaten.

No respect.

You’re not the only one yelling for MB3. He should get 30 touches a game. It seems every time JJ is in the game, the running game goes to hell.

When all is said and done, figure on Derek Anderson, Joe Thomas to be in Hawaii with Cribbs and Braylon.

The quarterback picks do look about right. If this had been a few weeks ago, I definitely would have put Jeff Garcia ahead of Hasselbeck.

I can think of more than a couple AFC quarterbacks who would easily have made the Pro Bowl had they been in the NFC. David Garrard and Derek Anderson, for starters.

The NFL has only 16 regular season games ... baseball, hockey, and basketball have up to 10 times the number of games in their regular season.

For the Bucs, Barrett Ruud should’ve gotten in - as a reserve, at the very least. Criminy, why all the Pro-Bowl love for the Seahawks? (I know they beat the Bucs early on, but they’re in a very, very, very weak division.)

Or, alternatively, with the Cowboys down by less than a TD, with a QB with an injured thumb on the throwing hand, and plenty of time to run off the clock, “Just hand him the damned ball.”

Seriously, the offense needs to be balanced and both RBs need to prove that they can be relied on when the game is on the line. Both will be free agents in the offseason (Jones UFA, Barber RFA). They need to prove that they’re worth a new contract.

Yeah, Anderson and Garrard deserve some credit thats for sure. I know Hasselbeck has 25 touchdowns and 10 picks and over 3000 yards so far which is pretty dang good. If Favre and Romo weren’t throwing up such unusually high numbers he would battle for starter.
