Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK! Magazine that she is pregnant. Oh. My. God.

A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister, star of Nick's "Zoey 101," says she's keeping the baby.

This is appalling. In this day and age how can girls be so stupid as to get pregnant? Seriously.... You can get an injection for crying out loud and that protects you for three months. How hard is that? The patch, maybe? It makes me think they just don't care, or even worse, maybe it's what they really want because they think it will be cute and fun. It's bad enough she's having sex, but then to bring an innocent child into the picture....

Well, biologically she's just the right age, even if there are American cultural stigmas involved. Girls are optimally designed to have babies between 16 and 21.

And if she has two or three more before her time is up at 21, she'll still have time to have her tubes tied and embark on a singing career. ;)
