Court officials have not released the name of the detained reporter at this time.
Judge Druzinski said she will decide whether to press charges on the reporter at a later time.
Earlier in the day, the jury asked the judge to provide members with the three-hour audio transcript of Grant's alleged confession.
The six men and six women have been deciding the fate of Grant, who pleaded guilty December 7 to mutilating the corpse of 34-year-old Tara.
That charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Jurors deliberated for about 3 1/2 hours Wednesday and seven hours on Thursday.
Prosecutors want a first-degree murder conviction, which carries a mandatory sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
Defense attorneys don't dispute that Grant killed his wife. But they say his actions showed panic instead of planning.
The 37-year-old was charged in the February 9 death and reported her missing five days later.
She’s the runaway bride, right???
Yup - I think they make a happy couple.
Finally, General Jackson can rest in peace.
Sorry to have to correct you but that is Gen. Grant! Merry Christmas!
