Aside from this thread being racist, pure and simple, they will have to hire experience and that means by experience not race.

Regardless if opposition to a minority candidate is racial in origin, the press will say it is so.

Here in Houston we were told how Mayor Lee P. Brown would represent “ALL of Houston” unlike the white guy. And how it was “time” for Houston to have a black mayor.

When Mayor Lee P. Brown faced a Cuban born Republican challenger in the next race, we did not hear how it was “time” for Houstont to finally have a Hispanic mayor. No, we heard how Sanchez was “anti-Hispanic” and that he wasn’t “genuine” because he came from Cuba and not Mexico.

Our mayor’s office is a non-partisan position. Which means that 2 (or more) Democrats can run against each other in the general election. But whenever a Republican enters the race (and has a good chance at winning) suddenly we are told that it has become a “partisan” race. Terry McAwful and the other national Rats came to Houston to fight for a marginal victory for Lee P. Brown (ex-Clinton White House drug czar) in the runoff election with Sanchez.

Race does not matter but the press and DNC will hit us over the head with it all the same.
