The man in the GOP presidential spotlight - Mike Huckabee - is a down-home, aw-shucks Southerner. But thats not all he has in common with Gomer Pyle.
The Internet has been buzzing about the wide-eyed, toothy-grin resemblance between the former governor of Arkansas and the hick gas station attendant loved by millions and played by Jim Nabors on The Andy Griffith Show.
Both fans and critics alike have posted Separated at Birth photo comparisons across the Web.
Sure, John Edwards sounds more like Gomer, but Huckabees got that special look. Golll-ly!

First there was Kerry and Herman Munster. And now:

“Hey Barn? Don’tcha think we can make some animal noises
in case we get separated? I can make like an owl and go,
Who! Who! You can go Chicka-chi, chicka-chi like a squirrel,
that way I know it’s you. Gawlee! Shazam!”
Gomer Pyle was a fictional character, but I would still vote for him over anything Messachusettes has produced in a hundred years.
Gomer was a marine, a good friend, a Christian, sincere, respectful of women and authority. Gomer was a depiction of a humble Southern Christian who honored his mother and father and country.
For Pete*s sake, why doesn*t that man get his teeth fixed? I cannot imagine the President of the United States with a mouth like that. Do you suppose no one in Arkansas ever noticed? You*d think someone would have said something to him long ago. Maybe we need to take up a collection for him to get them fixed. LOL!
Those are good teeth in Arkansas.
And Gomer could sing. Wow!
He seems a lot closer to Bill Clinton in his political views that Jim Neighbors... I wish he WAS closer to Jim Neighbors in his political views! Then I might be able to vote for Huckabee.
Mark
ROFLMAO!
You are a brave soul. LOL! I thought that, but alas, I was too chicken to post it. ;o)
